I have also been reading most of Daniel Silva’s books to. If you like Jason Bourne mixed with James Bomd you’ll like these reads as well.

It’s a classic. Required reading in France in elementary school. One of few books I enjoyed at 12
It’s based on the early life of Pierre Picaud, aka François Picaud or François-Pierre Picaud who represented as Edmond Dantès in the novel. Picaud was a shoemaker victim of a vile plot accusing him to be an English agent and spy.
The work is one of Alexandre Dumas’ best known works and a real page turner.

I tend to stick to historical novels or sci-fi for some reason. Probably ’cause it’s good escape.

    Cheers

I am a big fan of Daniel Silva’s series about Gabriel Allon. It always seems like what I am reading is what is in yesterday’s headlines, only he had to submit it for publication a year or two in advance.

I liked the books of Dumas and still do.

Here is another series I really like: http://www.jamesrbenn.com/billy_boyle_96910.htm

    …by Alexandre Dumas…

…Dumah. Know what that’s about? You’ll like it, it’s about a prison break.

We ought to file that under educational too, ought`n we?

This is another great book to read but the audiobook is equally as good. The author was actually there and I visited Colditz last time I was in Germany, it’s near Dresden.

And this WW1 classic. Most of the guys who were in Colditz read this when they were boys as an inspiration to escape during WW2. You can usually get this audiobook online free as well. I use to put it on and go walking for 2 hour intervals (5 walks) and great way to get fit and really engage the content.
