I’m from the South, and as everybody knows, tradition, tradition, tradition. The churches constantly state the need for everyone to be married, and that a man shouldn’t go without having a wife and kids. But these people are from an entirely different generation. They didn’t have to worry about the things that we have to worry about today. That’s why most of those marriages in that time, lasted longer. There were clear defined gender roles and everyone played their part. Most importantly the man was the head of the household. In any other time and under any other circumstances I would gladly get married. I would think most of the guys on this site would, but things aren’t different and we won’t be shamed into making a decision that is not in our best interest.

The older generation didn’t have to worry about chicks showing their asses on instagram for likes. They didn’t have to worry about feminism, they didn’t have to worry about a corrupt court system, or the ease of access to sex in the modern world. These things depreciate the value of marriage in modern times. Their is more to life than being someone’s personal ATM machine. There is more to life than living check to check. Paying bills is one thing, but giving her money, and a kid money as well. Sounds to me like someone won’t be getting that new boat they want after all, and should settle for the mini-van instead. In the older generation, they didn’t have to worry about marriage devolving into nothing more than a one-sided contract. Where the man has everything to lose and nothing to gain. Women would say, you should man up and do it anyway. Which shows how dumb their thinking is, that they want you to man up and make a decision that will affect your life forever even if it’s not in your best interest.

There are alot of laws that have to change and alot of mindsets that have to change for me to ever even consider getting married. That’s what the church doesn’t get, they don’t think like that. Everyone wants you to get married but when things go south, they are nowhere to be found. When i get asked that question, as we all do, i’ll just say i’m having too much fun being single to ever get tied down. Statistics show that the millennial generation is getting married less and less. The women want to be married, and the guys don’t want to do it. Maybe MGTOW is reaching people after all

    Nice post.

This nails it. But for me it’s easier to look at it the other way around: Even if the marriage laws weren’t FUBAR, what do modern women bring to the table? Next to nothing. And don’t say sex, they’re terrible at it and marrying for sex is really not a good reason.

Funny how they will preach to the guys to man up and marry up but they don’t preach to the women to stop acting like whores or act like the bible claims a good wife should act.

The church may say “man up” and serve as woman’s slave for the state.

I say “church up” and stop the state.

But in reality, the church does all the dirty work for the state.

Separation of church and state? Bulls~~~!

The church has the hand of government so far up it’s ass that the church is nothing but a puppet for the state.

The modern “church” is so feminized that 90% of it’s budget is probably used for tampons. I’m a sinner saved by grace but I do not in any way identify with what passes as “Christianity” today, especially when it comes to marriage, roles for men and women, and pretty much every other aspect of life.

I agree wholeheartedly that earlier generations lived in a different society where roles weren’t blurred like they are today. Men were the providers and women took care of the home. The churches around the world, and especially in America have done a 180 and flipped the idea of marriage on its head. Men are supposed to do most everything a woman does short of having kids, which is biologically impossible. Men are constantly shamed, told to act feminine, talk like women, act like women, have emotions like women and the list goes on and on.

Any and everything that goes wrong in a marriage is blamed 100% on the husband not being a “servant leader”. Yeh, sure thing bitch ass. Servant leader is code word for a f~~~ing slave mule. Nothing worthwhile in it for men today unless you’re a SJW Mangina who thinks he can earn brownie points and admiration from women and sissy ass men for being such a “great husband”. I’ll pass.

These churches who shame men in to marriage don’t even read the bibles they claim to use as the source for marriage. They read out of a “c~~~” version created by a bunch of psychologist’s and feminists who fund their churches.

Misery loves company. These pastors who profess the joys of marriage are the same guys who are terrified of being divorce raped themselves. No thanks, I will pass.

I find that the church doesn’t have any real place for the single older male. They say we are welcome, but we really aren’t. The married women don’t want us around because we corrupt their husbands. Even the single women don’t really want you around. Church is where they pretend to be a good girl and play the victim, while they act like a whore elsewhere. Blending their worlds exposes them. The married men are afraid of us. Besides getting in the doghouse with their wife, single men carry red pills, and they can’t risk accidently swallowing one…it would destroy their world.

I used to really enjoy going to church. I enjoyed fellowship and all that came with it. Now, my faith in God hasn’t really changed, I just have no desire to go to church. I know exactly what will happen, and I’ll walk out of there like I just wasted an hour of my time. I’ve tried getting more active, but it feels so fake I just can’t stomach it.

Just once, I would love to hear a preacher get up there and shock the hell out of everyone by telling the truth about how we are living are lives.

    Ok. Then do it.

Oh yea, man up so that I can spend the rest of my life in servitude working 80 hours a week until at 65 I drop dead. All for what? So some c~~~ can have leisurely life watching day time television.
