I think its about time I closed my facebook. I’m just kinda worried ’cause I’m a really introverted type of guy and will lose contact with some of my good friends. I’ll find a solution, but I’ll quit facebook.

Edit: I just did. Finally got rid of a hell load of insecurities.

Letting another person decide for me what my emotional state is — that’s just plain self-destructive.

Why on earth should what happens to me on social media, or in any other gathering of strangers, dictate my well being?!

I only use facebook for business (with a fake last name btw). But I deleted my social facebook account about 6-7 months ago, after getting tired of seeing insecure ladies posting new selfies every day, and then expecting everyone to ‘like’ them so they would feel better. F~~~ that! They weren’t even real friends.

Lol. Same here. But also because facebook kept suggesting “mutual friends” where 99% were girls. I think facebook does that ‘gender marketing’ … whatever it is called. They themselves declared “befriend only those who you know” andf then the next minute “here are some beautifu girls for you that i’m pretty sure will attract you so much that you can’t help sending them a request….which they will utimately reject or put on hold and make you feel more miserable”. I don’t know how it benefits the company but it can f~~~ up your brain pretty hard.
