What you DON’T need to concern yourself with are the bugs and insects that will splatter all over your windshield, because that’s what windshields are for. Without a windshield the bugs will stick to your teeth.You can still smile and listen to your favorite music and maintain a positive attitude while driving, but if you aren’t fully aware of your surroundings, actively shoulder checking and glancing at your mirrors at least once every 8 seconds . . . . you’re GOING to crash.

It doesn’t mean you “hate” other drivers or that you have a negative attitude.

So yes. There is a quotient of men here who are MAD at what has been done to them by a woman. You will find posts by them where they scream their anger out. Part of therapy. Sounds like you’re trying to cite a singular example to disprove the larger picture. In fact, it sounds a lot like the blue pill guys who claim the defense that “all women aren’t like that”. Yes they paid out. And no doubt your premium rose as well.

In fact, premiums never LOWER when you get in an accident. Which is the main reason a person carries insurance in the first place. In the event of an accident. Will they pay out? Sure. But then your rate increases, so that payout is rolled out on YOU, in the form of future payments. Because insurance companies are like other companies. Bottom lines, and profits. Insurance companies aren’t in the business of losing money. They’re in business to make money. If you pay a premium for years and never need it, who is the one really benefiting? For them it’s free money.

Kinda like marriage for women.

I understand that, and I wouldn’t say you’re wrong in anything you posted. But speaking for myself, having spent the last 11 years of my life battling depression, I can speak from experience, that holding into negativity is the equivalent to shackling yourself of any growth as a human being, that you could possibly make. There’s nothing wrong with letting your emotions out, at feeling rage. But being in your head, wallowing in anger will never take one to a better place. Yes, I’ve never been married, I don’t have kids. In fact, as we speak now, internally I’ve been mulling over a vasectomy. I haven’t lived the life anyone else here has lived. I haven’t lived the life of any “blue piller” has lived. None of us have lived the experiences of each other. Our experiences are our own. Sure we’ve traveled a common path at times in our lives, and we all deal with things in our own way. I’m simply cautioning against letting it consume you.

I had a neighbor a number of years ago when I lived in Jacksonville. Wonderful man. Taught me about music, was kind to me. But being disabled, losing his wife, and his daughter drove him to depression. I watched him wither himself away in his apartment every day. Drugging himself up. Answering the door in his underwear. Seeing people in his apartment hanging out that he couldn’t even tell me who those people were. I watched him for a year sink himself in a mindless downward spiral. I watched as medication made him a shell of himself. It hurts me to even think back on it. Hoping that no man would ever take himself down that path.

I can never truly be able to reconcile the reason people come here. For everyone comes for different reasons. From different experiences. A different life. All bearing different scars. Scars with different depths. Affected in their own way. Women do what they do. No apology ever needed for that. We’re guys. We get it. We’ve seen it, lived it. I’m just cautioning people to be careful. The mind is an okay place to visit once in a while. But you don’t want to live there. Bad things happen.

I know this isn’t the main topic but insurance isn’t a scam.

Company paid out $60,000 to repair someone’s home after a fire.

They were with the company for 10 years, paid maybe $10,000 to the company in premiums, company pays $60,000 to repair home. How is that a scam?

Company paid out $14,000 when a car was totalled out. Customer was with carrier for 4 years. $1,000 per year premium for four years, $4,000, company pays out $14,000.

If you have multiple violations and accidents, yes, your premiums will go up, and rightfully so.

Premiums are also higher for youthful and elderly drivers because they cause more accidents.

The main reason premiums continue to rise (auto industry) is because cars cost more to repair/replace. You are correct that the companies care about their profits. Big daddy Gov’t is doing everything they can to take more from insurance companies. So in turn, insurance premiums rise. They are in business to make money, not lose it.

This is possible, because I experienced the same thing. That was an education. I used to think it was just women in my family. Then I thought it was just girls in my neighborhood.
