You make good points about avoiding pregnancy, false rape accusations and saving money, but I will attest to you that it is possible to have regular sex AND a rich and meaningful intellectual life at the same time.
The problem of having your attention absorbed by sex isn’t about HAVING sex, it’s about NOT having sex and OBSESSING about it. To my mind, it’s the same thing as being on a diet where you keep telling yourself not to eat donuts and then all you can think about is donuts… so you eat three non-fat “treats” a day and convince yourself they’re just as good even though you know they are not.
And then you tell your friends about how not eating donuts has become an important part of your life, essentially making the concept of donuts all that much more important!
So unless you’re hideously unappealing to women or intend to expend a significant amount of effort avoiding having sex for your entire life, let me suggest that you may wish to find a more balanced approach.
1) Go get laid. Break the seal, dispell the mystery, cash in your v-card. You’ll find that the reality of it is both more appealing in some ways and less appealing in other ways than you expected. And now you’ll know what it is you’re talking about.
2) If you have the resources at all, get a vasectomy. Now the problem with unplanned pregnancy, the worst of the bunch, is solved.
3) Find a girl you like okay but who isn’t particularly interesting or attractive to you and develop a Friends with Benefits relationship with her. It’s socially useful to have a woman in your life in some circumstances and you can get together to knock one out now and then, which is a healthy and natural thing to do.
4) Now, with a clear head, empty b~~~~ and the positive feeling you’ll have from a good, clean and honest f~~~, you can get back to work.
5) If you can build trust with your FwB and not pursue other women or put yourself in situations where you’ll be tempted to f~~~ them, you can avoid problem 2 with about 99% certainty. Believe me, rape accusations are not as common as all that… in my entire sexually active life (33 years now) I’ve never encountered a hint of scandal or unjust accusations… probably because my ethic is to always leave a woman slightly better off than I found her (the National Park theory of dating).
6) Stop talking about sex. When the urge comes, knock one out with your FwB or do it yourself if she’s not available, clean up the residue and get on with your day like it’s no big deal… because it isn’t.
Building an entire philosophy of life around avoiding sex and then wanking to porn three times a day while proudly proclaiming how free you are from the tyranny of women is about as obsessive a thing as I can imagine.
