Gents,
Yesterday, on another post, I wrote:

I’m seriously taking on my vices this year. If it’s cool, I’m going to post my progress with this war occasionally. If MGTOW isn’t the place to do it, I’d like to know.
War with my vices is important. I would say my vices are ordered thusly: Sugar, sloth, carbs, and Copenhagen.
So, I started a Keto diet yesterday. That ought to take care of two. I’ve also blocked out my calendar daily to work out at our company gym every day from 4-5pm. I’ll go back to work for another hour after that (in my gym clothes) and call it a day.
Nicotine, that evil f~~~er, is a harder plan. I don’t want to over stress my system right away, so I’m planning to kill it sometime in 2018. Too vague? We’ll see.
Good luck, however not a fan of the Keto diet at all. Correct carbohydrates (vegetables, grains like oatmeal, and starches) are essential for body function.
Actually, I’m not a fan of any “diet”. Nutrition is a better word for it. Depending on what your goals are, the body still needs adequate nutrition. This includes macro and micro nutrients.

Since when is telling a world that’s conditioned us to killing us is a social norm? You got the right idea! Giving insight on any battle gives another man a fighting chance!
I rebooted long ago by working less and playing more! I quit smoking, quit drinking, quit women, and quit wasting time!
A man that is “doing” is moving forward in his own time and space, a man that is “not doing”, is repeating the same old mistakes, his life becomes a broken record that keeps skipping in the exact same place! He even sees the skip coming as a red flag marks its place!
like clockwork he keeps going round and round same old vice, same old mistake, same insane pace! Talk about a f~~~ing hamster wheel?
—I’m gonna quit, I’m gonna quit, I’m gonna quit, I’m gonna quit, I’m gonna quit, I’m gonna quit, I’m gonna quit, I’m gonna quit, I’m gonna quit…
If ^^^^this is YOU, change the record to “I quit” and never hear it skip AGAIN! SONG OVER!

Not sure what the Keto is but I do the Atkins and it’s Great! I doing my calisthenics w/ my flak vest on just to add a few lbs of resistance.
As for the nicotine, I just kicked my habit 3 months ago. And it’s definitely a mother f~~~er to kick. I had to ween myself off it by stretching a log out over the course of a month. I didn’t share a single pinch with anybody either lol.

Cool, man. Give me a couple of months and maybe you can give me some ideas. I will take in some leafy carbs, just not much.

Thanks, Tower. I was thinking that I actually like the insane pace at work, but it leads to the vices, methinks. I will ponder on it.

Brother, I’ve quit twice before. Once for three years and once for two. The only thing that I know for sure is that it only takes one pinch to go buy a damned can. One can leads to a log. I will say that it got easier as time went by. I wish I hadn’t started again. Embrace the suck and stick with the Quit. I’ll get there again. Dip isn’t the enemy, nicotine is… in all it’s forms.
I was never a smokeless tobacco guy but I know the nicotine merry-go-round. I once quit cigarettes for 15 years!!! Had just one in a stressful moment and bang! Back to my old ways. Quit again and then took a cigar from a friend while playing golf. Bang. Back to the cigarettes again. Haven’t had one in more than 2 years now and I don’t believe I’ll ever be out of the woods. Do your best. It’s a crap habit–especially as you get up in years. Takes more from you than it gives. Just my opinion.

Agreed.
I keep a log of Cope long cut in every freezer for every location I visit frequently just for when SHTF cause I know if I see a mushroom cloud I’m gonna start that s~~~ again with no f~~~s given.I don’t believe I’ll ever be out of the woods
My dad quit smoking 45yrs ago and he says he still gets cravings…

Nothing is more MGTOW than self-improvement. Keep posting and you will inspire others. I need to wage war on few vices myself. I’m going to give Prophet Micah’s idea a go and set up a few signs around the house.

Anonymous3Looking forward to the updates Bob
if you can just cut sugar you will lose weight.
Get a vasectomy.
I’m doing the same. I don’t believe in diets either. I’m just gonna’ eat less and move more. Cutting back on the alcohol as well.
I quit smoking cigarettes 17 years ago. It was damn hard. I quit at least a dozen times before I really quit. I puff on a cigar now and then, (no inhaling), and I never have cravings for the cigarettes. I may have 2, maybe 3 cigars a month. Some months I don’t smoke at all, due to weather, since I only smoke outside.
The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.
Hey, BoB:
Adding some supplements couldn’t hurt either. Here’s what I’ve used and it worked well for me.
1. Rainbow Light Performance Energy for Men – About $27 for a 45 day supply (180 tablets). Take one four times a day with meals. These also have herbal blends in them that provide adrenal support to reduce and adapt to stress as well as 100,000,000 probiotic cultures that help to cleanse the body.
2. Ginko Biloba – Very good vasodilator that helps get the blood flowing.
3. St. Johns Wort – Helps with sleep, and healthy sleep helps you lose weight!
4. Ghee butter – Ghee actually cleanses adipose tissue in the body (cleanses the fat cells). Detoxification is a big part of the process! Medium chain triglycerides are key for good cardiovascular health, and two tablespoons per day is the right amount. Use as a replacement for cooking oil or simply melt two tablespoons and drink it.
5. Cinnamon – preferably Ceylon Cinnamon (found at health stores) speeds up the metabolizing of sugars and won’t cause liver toxicity like the cinnamon you buy at the grocery store.
These helped me with a daily workout schedule to shed forty pounds in about four months (240 down to 200). Can’t help with the nicotine, though. Vaping helped me for a while but cigarettes always found a way back in. Be careful with reducing carbs…some carbs are good for you and you don’t want to completely cut them off, especially when you’re working out regularly. Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, man.
