    I finally have a chance to go to Malibu,California & go surfing. I’ve never been married. No kids. No exes. No GF. With all the money that I’d be wasting if I had a woman in my life, I figure I’d rather spend it on me!

    The good thing is I can spend 1 week every month from May-August surfing. I’m 36 & my whole life has been building up to this.

    It’s been a dream of mine to surf, the adrenaline rush, the sun beating down on you, the cold water. When I was younger, women would laugh at me for saying it was a dream of mine. This never bothered me because the comments showed their true nature: jealous & bitter. How dare I have a dream that doesn’t involve a woman!!! XD

    been there, done that.

    best part of surfing and the whole beach scene was not giving a flying flip about anything. surfing consumes 100% of thoughts and effort. one stray thought would cause you to lose focus.

    I am on Oahu for 3 months off work to do exactly the same. Although I am older than you! I want to get decent enough at it to enjoy for as long as I am physically able. It has long been a goal of mine.

    Go for it mate i surfed badly for a few years but it was great fun and it very relaxing / sense of freedom. Just getting in the sea in any form is good for you. Watch out for the rips !

    Keep saving and invest in a trip to Bali, Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, Mainland Mex, Central America, etc.

    Weuse to grab rocks and do this for fun running underwater . It was like been an astronaut . Even had a local telephone under our running spot that was dumped in the water . Lol
