    Hey guys

I’m writing this in a hurry because I don’t wanna drain my phone battery, which I’ve had to use to make this post (for some reason the site isn’t letting me log in on my laptop – don’t know if that’s a glitch on my machine or a temporary side effect of the renovations).

But I’m happy to say that Suicide Squad was great. Very well-directed, fun and action-packed. Cast was pretty much perfect – Margot Robbie was actually really good. She could’ve easily ended up being very annoying, but I liked her a lot more than I was expecting to. Fact I could almost say that she stole the show.

I can see why feminists and SJWs wouldn’t like it, but they’re just being crybabies as always. A few days ago Anthony mentioned that there’s a scene where the Joker tortures Harley to make her as crazy as he is.

SPOILER ALERT: read no further if you don’t want to know –

And this is partly true, he does torture her. But she’s already as crazy as he is – he does it more to test her loyalty. Beyond that, I don’t know what the critics are on about. The quote from someone who said that “All the female characters bring the men down”? Didn’t see any evidence of that, except for maybe one character, and it wasn’t the shocking behavior that they’re treating it as.

So highly recommended! The soundtrack was sweet too 🙂

I’ll end up seeing it then. But, I’m gonna wait until it comes to DVD. That way, I can watch it for free online. I’ve always liked DC movies a lot more than Marvel movies if only because most of them have a darker theme.

I’m not paying if only not to support the Wonder C~~~ movie DC will be making in 2017.

Overall though, SS sounds like a great movie.

    Same here.

Yep. The critics are panning this one according to Rotten Tomatoes, but it does have a decent IMDb score which is voted on by normal people like us. The same critics adored Ghostbusters, and it has a dismally low IMDb score.

Edit: Box Office Mojo says SS is expected to challenge opening record ticket sales for this type of flick. Once again the opposite of GB.

I’m not into comic book movies but I’ll probably torrent this (I refuse to fund the anti straight White male Hollywood system) when a good copy comes up.

I came back from watching the Suicide Squad movie.

This is a really good movie on several levels.

This movie is a cross between Deadpool film the Dirty Dozen.

This film is filled with nods and injokes. One injoke is that cruel things are hinted to happen towards small stuffed unicorns. If you seen the Deadpool film, you know what I am talking about. But the, “by who”, is the funniest part.

One of the best direct nods of respect in this film is the brief shot of a live action version of a work of art of Harley Quinn and the Joker by the comic artist Alex Ross.

The cast and acting are solid.

Will Smith and Margot Robbie steal the show. Mr Smith plays a solid villain.

I am not sure if the accent slip by Ms Robbie the end was intentional, as a diversion. So, I am not judging that.

The rest of the cast are good. Jay Hernandez nails the quiet, introspective El Diablo perfectly.

The music is good. Great mix of old and new songs.

    The plot. Oh, this plot.

I guess this could be considered an act of karmic justice, because the plot of this movie is what I would have hoped for the Ghostbusters remake.

This movie plays like a psychotic version of a Ghostbusters remake. But, in a very good way.

This could be why the SJWs hate this film. The Suicide Squad film did the Ghostbusters genre better than them, without any trying.

I predict that Honest Trailers will likely nickname this movie some version of, “Psycho Ghostbusters”, or “Psychobusters”.

The stinger scene in the middle of the credits is just icing on the cake. And there is no stringer scene after the credits. Just that one scene.

Now, while this movie is about villains, Waller takes the case as the move villainous person in the movie. She is a stone cold psychopath.

Flagg is not that far behind Waller, but he has a few redeeming traits.

It is shown a number of times, that as twisted as they are, that underneath all their psychosis Harley and Deadshot are still decent human beings. That this is hope for them. Though, the movie sometimes takes this to the point of it being heartbreaking for those two characters, and El Diablo.

Now, the Joker. Jerod Leto’s interpretation of the Joker is something to be seen.

While Jack Nicholson’s Joker was a stone cold killer, murdering people just for laughs.

And Heath Ledger’s Joker is a sick deranged madman trying to deal with a sick joke about the world that only he knows.

Jerod Leto’s Joker is different. Jerod Leto’s Joker is a monster. But, unlike other interpretations, there are still a few shreds of humanity left in this Joker. There are scenes in this movie, where the Joker does something very bad, but then he is scene literally fighting himself, with him them deciding to do the right thing, even though the right thing is done in a very twisted manner.

I look forward to see Jerod Leto’s Joker in the future. His look is a little off from the usually Joker. But, there is depth in this interpretation of the Joker, and this Joker is not an empty shell. In this Joker, you can see glimpses of what Harley sees in the Joker that makes her love him so much.

My one complaint about the production of this movie is the editing. It is a two hour movie, but there are some very sharp, abrupt edits. And the worst part is there are a few jokes in the previews that were not in the film.

For example, we still do not know what Deadshot asked to drink at the bar.

As such, I give this film a 7 out of 10. But, should they release a Director’s Cut of this movie, with those scenes put back into the film, I would give that version of Suicide Squad a solid 8 out of 10.

I JUST saw it, and it has GOOD. The ending was a little bulls~~~ however- they all go back to prison but what the hey.

I did like Harley Quinns representation, as well as Jokers. Only question- where was Batman or Superman during all this.

Those questions were answered in the movie. Who do you think the nation funeral was for in the beginning of the movie? And who do you think Waller was meeting at the end of the movie, in the middle of the credits?

Never understood the appeal of Harley Quinn. Just looks like the type of person that we lambast on this site. Dyed-hair, psychotic cute chick that’s attracted to a total psychopath.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.

Actually, Harley is a sociopath. In the Suicide Squad film, she even points out what a sociopath is. Which given she was one a psychiatrist is fridge brilliant for her to be the character to point out such topics.

A psychopath is just born cold blooded, while sociopaths were once decent people.

Harley’s past is and future are what make Harley appealing.

Right now, in the Suicide Squad movie she is enamored with the Joker.

Harleen Quinzel’s (Harley’s given name) past is that she came from a broken home. Though, instead of being a welfare whore, she was able to get into college and become a psychiatrist. Her goals were to help troubled people, to prevent situations like the home life she grew up in.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Well, that is Harley’s past.

Unfortunately, Harleen ended up taking the Joker as a patient. And the Joker twisted her into her current incarnation, as Harley Quinn.

And yes, Harley is very messed up and twisted in the Suicide Squad film.

Well, in the DC comics Harley and the Joker have a massive falling out. Harley then interested some property from a dead relative in Coney Island. Harley moved to Coney Island. She found out she was not the craziest person there, and the locals were nice to her. So, she decided to stick around. And she decided she wanted to be a better person. Sort of like Deadpool’s path from villain to hero.

We see hints in the Suicide Squad film that Harley wants to be a better person than the person she current is.

In the DC comics, due to Harley’s involvement with Suicide Squad, Waller eventually got Harley her life back. She has her medical license back and she is a practicing psychiatrist under her given name, Harleen Quinzel. Yes. Scary, but she actually trying to help people. And she is not trying to harm her patients.

While Harley can be very unstable. And she can be violent at the drop of a hat. Unlike many characters with such a past and personality, Harley is willing to take responsibility for her actions. And spending time in Coney Island, with the locals being nice to her, has done wonders for her.

Also, Harley is currently dating Pamela Isley (Poison Ivy), whom commutes from Gotham to visit Harley. It should be noted the two women have a good relationship that brings out the best in each other. This is shown by the fact both their respect body counts have gone way down since they started dating.

This is why people respect Harley. Harley is damaged, but she is trying to be a better person.
