I am pretty sure leftist mrdia will claim its because “this is the capitalist heteronormative white patriarchy that hates all women”. I bet msm will start spitting this bs in no time.

"We didn't start the fire. It was always burning. Since the world's been turning" "A world that vilifies men only breeds a generation of men that feel no empathy towards women" “In a woman’s mind , there is really no such thing as a ‘we’. In her eyes, earth allways revolves around her, not the other way around. So thinking that your needs , aspirations or desires are valid enough to be persued, or even that you are entitled achive such goals, is like asking your boss for a pay rise in your very first day at the job.”

The funniest part of this topic is the Suicide Squad plot plays out like a psychotic Ghostbusters remake of the first film.

The guys at DC are showing Sony how to do a Ghostbuster film. And they are using bad guys, and still making the movie work well.

The Honest Trailers style of the Suicide Squad film.

Deadshot – Floyd Lawton: Egon has a gun. Actually, lots of guns.

Harley Quinn – Harleen Quinzel: Janine, we love the new makeover.

Rick Flagg: Peter, we see you are still a jerk.

The Enchantress – June Moone: Dana, you have never looked so good.

Captain Boomerang – George “Digger” Harkness: Ray. We need to talk about the stuffed unicorns. We think you have a problem.

El Diablo – Chato Santana: Winston, we love the new tattoos.

Amanda Waller: This bureaucrat actually has no dick.

Killer Croc – Waylon Jones: Who needs Slimer when you have him.

Katana – Tatsu Yamashiro: And her.

The rest of the soldiers with the squad: And them.

The Joker: And finally. Deadpool with more guns, and better laughing.

    In DC’s “Ghostbusters”.

So can’t wait to see this film. Harley Quinn in non existant underwear and a non pc story makes me want to watch it asap! Me and a buddy from work are going to watch it the week after next for a drink/film friday night and I’m really looking forward to it.

Next friday I’m watching Vader vs Osprey at the York Hall in London…I always bitch about how dull life is but I’ve got two awesome fridays coming up and it makes me glad to be alive!

The Ghostbusters film trashed the fan based, and tried to do things new, while hamfisting callbacks to the original, to try to placate fans. Apparently Suicide Squad is scoring well with Comic Book fans, even if it didn’t with critics.

I saw it. Some bits censored out because I’m in Kuwait. Not a great movie but ok. Some plot holes and cliches. End fight sucked.

But obviously Suicide Squad succeeded at the Box office because we’re all cis white male Patriarcial s~~~lords and Ghostbusters is the victim of female opression.

Or it could just be that Ghostbusters is a piece of crap SJW movie that nobody outside a minority of people really wanted and those few people had no intention of actually going out and paying to watch it anyway. They just wanted to s~~~ over everyone elses entertainment.

I hope the financial backers of these movies are paying attention.

So glad I did not watch either of them. I will watch Suicide Squad when it comes out on DVD, will probably rent it. But Ghostbusters does not even deserve that.

Saw both movies, and both are pretty forgettable overall. Neither has a white male in any sort of lead role. Both were dumb overall and assume that the audience are morons who just want to see pretty pictures. I think SS tried to actually have some depth in a couple of the characters, but did a crappy job of it.

HQ is such a strange character. She is supposed to be crazy in a fun way, and an example of an ‘independent woman’ who can hang with the boys. Yet she had a strong dependency on Joker in a f~~~ed up relationship that hints at domestic violence, and the film struggled to give her a redeeming value the team. To me, it just cemented that there is no real value to a chick acting crazy and unpredictable. Yes, she acted slutty and one of the guys, but really, she was just a mess.

I just get the feeling that people want to like her and want to hold her up as some sort of weird example for women, but they really know that there’s nothing there. Even within the actor, I just got the impression that she knew her character was hollow.

    Ok. Then do it.

Suicide squad has been hands down the worst comic book movie I’ve seen todate. The plot, dialog, and editing were effin terrible.

Letos joker was an abomination. He and the film reeked of trying too hard.

I thought what I'd do was I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes...or should I?

I keep reading puff piece articles about how GB is now officially not a flop and how it is actually a great movie. Not sure what makes these statements true.

It has reportedly made more than it cost to make but I read that even the director, Feig, said that it will need to pull in at least 500 million globally just to break even. It is currently sitting around 170 million globally with more global markets opening soon. Will it pull in 330 million more globally?
