Hey Guys,
I’m looking to get a new vehicle. Currently I drive a truck and its not practical for the city that I live in. I was hoping for some suggestions for getting a car. This is my criteria:
Good for all seasons, AWD or Front Wheel Drive vehicle
around 40-60K CAD max
Manual
Looks SweetAs I live in a mostly winter climate ill need something that can handle those road conditions. I don’t really like to spend money and it pains me to look at ways to do it.
Check out some of the suberu Cars. .awd..good gas mileage. .
Might be my next car. .!Check out some of the suberu Cars. .awd..good gas mileage. .

Worked for lesbaru for a while- DO NOT GET THE TURBO MODEL. They have bottom end engine issues and the manual trans can’t hold the power, either the motor or trans detonates. Leaves you with the horribly underpowered 2.5, which is so underpowered you can’t get good gas mileage with them. Subaru died in 2013, IMHO. Worked for VW, never buy any VW product ever. Lease one if you must. Mercedes doesn’t have a manual, thats a no. The new BMW models are great, very little issues. Get one certified before they change their certified warranty. They can’t afford it so they’re no longer going to be offering free maintenance and the warranty will be shorter. Can’t go wrong with Toyota, I worked with them for a while, none of them are ‘sweet’ though, total lack of manual trans. Honda’s aren’t what they used to be, but the accord coupe is nice looking, I just hate the split screens and spaceship interior. Nissan is garbage, has been garbage since they came out with CVT and always will be. They’re the chrysler of japan, I’ve worked for them too. Here’s my top picks!
Ford Focus ST-Ive owned one, great little cars. No issues when I sold it with 60,000 miles.
Buick Regal GS AWD- I work for GM currently, no issues at all with them, real nice cars
BMW 330i xdrive-Good friend works for BMW, tells me they’re great cars.
I’d get a certified pre owned BMW or the Buick.Punks- Not Feeling Lucky Since 1971
Thanks Mr C! Did not know quality suffered so quickly. I love anything that has a spinning distributor on it.

Why not a truck?
A used Ford ranger, the smaller one.
Might be my next one.
Good to mgtow move.
Love is just alimony waiting to happen. Visit mgtow.com.
He did mention a truck isn’t usable for his city
And must look ‘sweet’
Ford ranger is a good truck- its a shame they don’t make them anymore. New colorado/canyon is real nice, especially in turbo diesel.

Anonymous42Toyota.
I have to recommend the Subaru as well, drove one for a bit while at work and it drove great in the snow.
"what a waste of a life, to marry, give up your freedom, just for the hope of not dying alone. Don't get married Son."
Thanks for all the info gents. A guy at work has a Subaru also and he says its excellent for the winter. With the truck I have now my neighbours feel I should be helping them move s~~~ to the dump. Additionally its just not good for the city.
I should have mentioned that I don’t know how to drive a standard. Additionally I’m no interested in a standard vehicle. Im sure you will all have some judgement. haha
Subaru WRX non turbo is where I should be looking then? Is that the consensus? I don’t like that its a 4 door is my only gripe.
Any other suggestions?
Damn, I realize I wrote manual in my original post and the wrote automatic. My brain wasn’t working earlier, I’m looking for an automatic vehicle.
Lesbaru it is! By the way the Forester has better resale and is much nicer to live with day to day. The Crosstrek isn’t as comfortable. The outback is seriously the one to get. I really liked those, they sell for over sticker price because lesbaru corp purposely doesn’t make enough to meet demand to keep resale high on older ones.

Im not really looking for a SUV. I want something a little more sporty like the BRZ but that is only RWD so its out. Next on the list would be the WRX but thats a 4 door. I kinda want a coupe. Im retarded with regards to vehicles. Mostly because, as I said before, I’m f~~~ing cheap and hate looking for ways to spend money.
I should add as part of the criteria that a low maintenance vehicle is also desirable.
What about BMW or Lexus? Anyone have a suggestion with another make?
