Title of the article is somewhat misleading. It less about getting dates and more about why fat teens are having more unprotected sex and thus more teen pregnancies. Besides looking at behavior patterns of obese teens, it’s also looking a race.

In some ways, I don’t mind the study. Although the answers seem relatively obvious, having data to support it isn’t bad. It also does have a public interest since the tax payer is likely to be paying for these teen pregnancies. As well, it isn’t looking to change men’s behavior…yet.

This is a case of correlation, not causation.

1. Welfare girls are much fatter than girls whose food needs to be earned by someone.
2. Welfare girls see a long term relationship with a man as a liability, just like their welfare mothers do.
3. Welfare girls see an unplanned pregnancy as an opportunity for a monthly check, not a financial burden or source of social stigma.
