For those who are unfamiliar with Stephen Fry he is writer, broadcaster and homosexual. He has a famous line in wry wit, a bit like a modern day Oscar Wilde. He is the darling of the liberal chartering classes and progressive left. However that did not make him immune from a twitter attack after making a very lame joke about the appearance of a woman at an awards ceremony.

I know exactly how Fry feels:

Today saw him release a statement on his official website, expressing his happiness at being free from Twitter, a platform he referred to as “a stalking ground for the sanctimoniously self-righteous who love to second-guess, to leap to conclusions and be offended”.

He called the decision “a massive relief” and said he felt “free at last”.

Women think they can use social media to control men.
A man’s option is to walk away. Too easy.
Anyone who’s cut social media out of their lives has experienced the relief Fry is talking about.

If only marriage to a woman was that easy to escape from.
