Anyone else thinking about playing this game? I bought it yesterday, played for an hour and was a bit overwhelmed, though people say this is the easiest “4X” game you can play to date.

Basically: improve your planet and immediate star system, build a space army, do science and the 4 X’s: explore, expand, exploit and exterminate.

    Meh.
I prefer a more brutal game.

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning; it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

Yup all the videos are from in game. Graphics are top notch.

Here is latest video. Was recently filmed in sisi which is the test server. They were doing stress tests on the new citadel upgrade to the live server. Epic battle. I got podded fast as I was in my ship “Glass Cannon” which is a stealth bomber. I hung out and watched the battles. Fun s~~~.

There is also a new game from Eve set in the same universe which is VR based and you get to be a fighter Jock.

There is also a FPS based on EVE universe where you play immortal ground troops and are supported by Eve players in Orbit which you can call down bombardments.

Been playing it for a few evenings now and I gotta say it’s a very interesting game, despite the fact that my empires got f~~~ed a couple of times. I’m currently doing a slow build-up, creating lots of military before exploring the next star system. Easy(going) does it.

Its made the same guys who made Crusader Kings 2. They do incredibly complex gameplay. I’ve played several Stellaris games with a friend of mine and it usually ends the same way (poorly). Though this last iteration has been the most promising.
