Long time lurker, but new member here.

Just thought I’d share my MGTOW background and my current situation.

First of all, compared to some of you guys and the horror stories you’ve shared with us, I’ve been pretty fortunate.

I’m 36, never married and no kids, and I’ve been living what you could call a MGTOW or semi-MGTOW lifestyle for around 10 years. I’m from the UK, but I lived in France for 6 years on my own in a tiny apartment doing a job I enjoyed, participating in lots of sport and exercise and eating well, and paying off the remaining student loan and credit card debt I accumulated when I was in the UK (all gone now : ).
During this time I sometimes went home to visit old friends and go to their weddings, when the inevitable questions would be asked. I continually stressed that I was completely happy with my situation, didn’t really crave or miss sex or female company, and that it was highly unlikely that I would be getting married or having kids in the future.

I’ve often been dismissed by some as a bit of a loser who can’t get laid etc. but this has never bothered me as I have always focused on what’s good for me and my well being. Any relationships that I did have during this period fizzled out mainly due to apathy on my part, and I’ve concluded that although definitely not gay or asexual, I seem to have a less fiery drive compared to some guys who simply cannot live without pussy even for a few days, and even if it means chasing a boot (my word for a fat 2 or 3) and showering with her with praise that she in no way deserves.

Although I am attracted to women and watch porn occasionally, I never feel the overwhelming sexual urges that some guys have where they simply have to act on them no matter what, and I see this as a bit of a blessing, as it enables me to get on with other things more easily and be efficient in my job and focus on my hobbies without investing all my time and money in the often futile activity of chasing women.

My current situation however is a little different. I was transferred to China with work 2 years ago. I find I’m more attracted to Asian women than Europeans / Americans, but despite this my MGTOW mindset has remained intact. I had a casual relationship with a Chinese girl last year, but as soon as she started getting needy and then aggressive, she was out – classic case of a woman going out with guy because of what she could gain, and not because of how interested she was in the guy himself. Though I am still dating, it’s all on my terms. In any case I’ve read and watched far too much MGTOW material now to ever cohabit, marry or have children. It’s all about staying in control, and with marriage you lose that control, as many men have unfortunately discovered.

I agree with you on the sex drive it was a blessing…I chased allot of pussy in my day and at the height of it ha 4 or 5 women going at the same time…didn’t think I could live without it.  Then I was blessed with age and things slowing down.  Now I look at it like a pain in the ass and it allowed me to see the real and true cost of it…I wont pay it…lol.  Glad your here and looking forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome traveller, I came back from China just last week and said never again to long haul flights. I’m back in the UK and planning on staying here for a very long time.

As a side note, I married a Chinese girl and dated a good few other Asians before her. I understand what you mean by opportunistic and then aggressive. They’re similar to Western women but a lot more sly and then over the top aggressive when they don’t get what they want.

Welcome! I agree with you that a lower sex drive certainly frees the male mind to think clearly and recognize what women do.

I’m currently 38 and my urges are lessor than they were five years ago. While I still enjoy sex, it doesn’t rule my life. I don’t need a woman and I stay in control of my life. I can clearly assess a bad situation when I see one and I stay clear of it. Just the way I like it.

Welcome to MGTOW, we share the same thoughts when it comes to marriage, women, and their opportunistic nature. I myself became aware of female dastardliness at a young age. By the time I was 30 I had abandoned all hopes of a normal or harmonious relationship, I also abandoned a permissive lifestyle, drinking, and lets not forget smoking too… I kicked my own ass really hard, I used the hickory stick of reality to knock some sense into my self! @CrazyCanuk – I am indeed aware of the ‘Shengnv’. I live in Shanghai where there are thousands of them. One question people ask is “yeah but China has a massive male to female imbalance, and has millions more men than women, so why are there so many leftover women?’ Ah well for me it comes down to women’s hypergamy, entitlement and unrealistic expectations as well as ‘princess syndrome’ as a result of being an only child (in most cases). They’re only leftover because they can’t find a guy with a house, car, good job and money in the bank. There are plenty of guys out there, but women’s hypergamous nature ain’t gonna budge is it! @Hardware – I finally saw the real cost of it last year – nowhere near what some guys have been through, quite minimal actually, but enough for me to approach things differently from now on. My actions have never been ruled by my sex drive, even when I was in my late teens and twenties, and I feel I’m all the better for that.

@Lord Vader – Indeed, don’t be fooled into thinking that they are not capable of playing the same s~~~. They are, in fact often more so than Western girls. Stay  in control and all is good.

@Progenitor – Interesting to hear that you are (were?) married to an Asian . As I’m sure you know full well, they bring up the subject of marriage and kids very early, sometimes after just 3 or 4 dates. I’m up front about my views from the beginning, so if they don’t like what they hear then they can move on, simple as that. Would be interested in hearing about ‘your path’, if it’s not too painful to talk about!

Welcome to MGTOW.  Sounds like you’ve got a handle on things vs : “A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.”  An aspect of this site that you’ll find fascinating is the new info that keeps coming in eg batcave’s overhearing medical females discussing “harvesting” a Doctor by a specific sequence: marriage/wait for alimony min time/do something to anger him/label the reaction abuse/call cops/ call attorney…and have him as your slave for the rest of your life.

It is always exciting hearing from a MGTOW living outside the oppressive West.

Yes, women are AWALT and marriage is a bad deal everywhere, however, the oppression in some countries is way lower!
Not having a significant risk of false rape accusations is already HUGE.
Not needing to go stealthy for fear of losing one’s job is also HUGE.

Asian women have a ruthless streak and are very manipulative – beware. Certainly would advise against dating them – just buy a hooker for the day if you are attracted to them. Dating is a slippery slope – especially if the women rate highly on the psychosis spectrum.
