    What have they done?

Big trekkie so have seen every next gen episode multiple times.
Even Voyager had some okay writes but Chackotay’s spirit quests got boring.

That is noting compared to now.

I had episodes saved so am watching them and there is a special needs crew member. Can you believe that?

What the hell happened to Starfleet?

I hope the Klingons wipe out humanity.

Should I even watch this crap or just flush?

If women ran the world = It would become the shithole you are seeing.

It is bad. They are not worth the attention. I dropped it.

    Yeah.
Keep in mind, much like comic’s Star Trek has always been a SJW c~~~.
Today we don’t think Kirk f~~~ing a black or green bitch as shocking. One time it was.

Also a Trek fan here collecting everything on DVD since The Cage through Enterprise 2005 plus the older feature films .. I haven’t seen the newest movie or any new series … and probably never will. I have no interest in Trek beyond Enterprise.

Yet, I still watch an episode of TOS or TNG or V or DS9 or E nearly every evening. I have all the series in triplicate. I even bought two complete sets of B5 in region 2. Currently getting back into B5, B5 Films and Crusade along with LOR and LT .. for the sixth or seventh time. I will always like B5 and DS9 .. I can’t help myself.

I don’t watch B5 in the order of release .. instead, there are recommended guides to follow that tell how to watch this series in staggered form. I wrote one of them and posted it online. I always view it out of release sequence .. but in better storyline path. It’s all good.

    JMS is a Genius .. with a capital G.

I just don’t know why the opening theme of DS9 makes my knees weak as we catch that first glimpse .. that view of that station all alone and tiny so far far away. I should be there. B5 evokes the same emotion .. exactly the same feeling.

I am a Trek Luddite and will never collect anything beyond that which was broadcast May 13, 2005. Prior to that, I like everything. As far as B5, it’s all good .. I even enjoy LOR film which some have criticized over the years. If only, yes, if only they had continued Crusade .. it could have been a really nice series. I also wish Enterprise had run another three seasons. That’s it.

    Hey,
Big TOS fan here. Love old Captain Kirk stuff. I still break out my DVDs of all three seasons and watch from time to time. Some of the later stuff was OK too, but I love the old 60s show.

I wouldn’t touch this new series though. I saw some stuff on Youtube about this new ST, how before even it was even released word was some of the actors were already telling their agents they’ll be available soon (i.e. no second season). They knew it was going to be poo. CBS should sell the license to someone else who will do it justice. Even the new movies have gotten really bad.

Discovery does not feel like Star Trek but is an okay movie style series…The Orville feels like a Trek incarnation with the way it is set up in line with Rodenberrys vision…I liked them both for the stories…

In terms of Trek spirit, Orville encapsulates it…

I spend my time restoring stuff instead of p~~~ing myself off with the SJW GLBT inundation of all things entertainment. It’s theirs, they can have it and all the risk and expenses of running it, just like the NFL, run it into the ground.

When everything is crashed and burning they can go f~~~ themselves for any compassion or sympathy, they better wear a steel plate between their eyes, because that’s where I’ll be aiming!

That’s because Nemoy has nothing to do with it now that he’s dead. He was a big part of the series and movies after the death of Gene.

I agree. The Orville is a funny sci-fi show which knows when to have fun and when to play things straight.

    Really. I did not know.

It always felt there was some guiding hand keeping the franchise from going off the rails. Early DS9, Post 7of9 Voyager and early Enterprise had its moments, but all in all until Discovery the franchise did not go completely crazy.

The Orville captured Star Trek for me, even if the comedy has been hit or miss. I have not watched STD at all. Check out YouTube opinions on it. I find it interesting how much the critic differ from the regulars regarding opinions of it.

As for STD (Star Trek Discovery), that is what Discovery is going by now around on the Internet, to show how ticked off people are at it.
