    Stanford sexual assault

tl;dr: Brock Turner, 20, was convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to 6 months of jail time, probation, and sex offender registration. The plaintiff, an unidentified female who was not a student at the university wrote a long-winded essay decrying the process of evidence collection, the court/judge’s decision making, and Turner’s defense and situation. There is now a recall effort to modify the judge’s ruling and increase Turner’s punishment.

I'm sad to see that politics and feelings are taking religions' place." ~ Me "Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. And, above all, do not marry. Wouldn’t that be double jeopardy?

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.

I don’t think so, but I’m not a lawyer. There is a lot of outrage generated about the sentencing, claiming Turner is being “let off easy” because of his status as an athlete and student.

Well, from what I’ve read, and granted it’s been one-sided, I would agree that he is getting off light. But that’s what I hate about the media today, they all have an agenda and you can almost never get the entire story.

That said, if you find a chick passed out drunk in an alley and f~~~ her, yeah you deserve more than six months.

As far as I have been able to understand the situation, Turner did not commit the act in the alleyway. Just that the plaintiff was later found there as the last thing she remembered before the incident. I may be wrong in that interpretation.

I agree that 6 months jail is pretty light for sexual assault. If one is convicted of sexual assault, I would expect something like 2 years prison, minimum.

But you should read the statements made by the plaintiff. Very clearly that woman is out for blood. She never takes the high road; she rebuts *everything* Turner and his family have said or done throughout the trial.

What about Lorena Bobbitt who mutilated her husband and got off? Oh I forgot she’s a women so justice doesnt apply to her. Or the single mom slut who had the gorilla killed because of her negligence and won’t even face a fine. Until these scales are leveled I dont give a f~~~ what these skanks say or think. If I go to jury duty on a domestic violence case the guy is getting not guilty and I dont give a damn if the photo evidence’s show a sea of blood on her face,he’s not guilty.

The petition has over 200,000 signatures (half probably white knights who want him castrated),but you cant even get a napkin signature when it comes to male suicides. I getting sick of this injustice and men are going to start snapping back as a result.

The 6 month sentence did surprise me but I don’t like the femtard witch hunt that the media is stirring up from this case.

If it’s true they are using his student athlete status as a means to get him off easier, and he is indeed guilty, then the light should be shone on the University for those types of shenanigans. Athletes generate revenue for the school so the motivation to protect them is just another underlying symptom of institutional corruption.

I’m not aware that the university attempted any kind of cover up. I honestly haven’t read everything I could find on the issue either, so I may be missing a lot.

Apparently, his side of the story is that she was conscious and gave consent before the sex occurred, and she apparently passed out during. By the letter of the law, he is guilty since she could not give consent while drunk or while unconscious obviously.

Since sentencing is about punishment and deterrence, previous criminal history and character of the man should be considered, IMO. I am not going to say the sentence is light or is correct, but it shouldn’t be surprising that the judge considered these things when sentencing.

For a person who’s never spent time in jail before, and never thought he ever would, 3 months isn’t nothing. I am a pretty straight laced guy, and that sentence and the acquisition it self would be absolutely devastating. Since he has been named and registered as a sex offender, it is also going to greatly impact his life outside of prison as well. His career potential is shattered as well as whatever personal life he ever hoped to live out. He probably would have been better off with a longer sentence just to avoid all the media attention.

The people who are out for blood really bother me. They don’t seem to be interested in anything other then seeing this man suffer, nor be aware of what consequences he is facing.

Personally, I want to see men and boys very aware of the laws regarding rape to the point where they choice not to have sex with women without signed consent. I want to see people who chose to get intoxicated to the point they pass out, with no concern for their safety, to be shamed for the activity and avoided. They are trouble. Although she is not deserving of what happened to her, it is incredibly irresponsible and dangerous. As well, if it is illegal to have sex with an unconscious woman (and it should be), then it should be illegal for a woman man to give a BJ to an unconscious man.

    Ok. Then do it.
