Does anyone have any good ideas for sprint drills to help on making run times faster? This is for 2 mile run and a 200 to 400 meter run.
If it costs you your peace of mind, then it is too expensive.
I used to run track in high school. But my info is outdated, and I would not recommend trusting my old track coaches either.
There is a science called KINESIOLOGY. I recommend you study up on that.

-One day of 5 minute “sprints” (3-6 of them)
-One slow long run/jog (4-8 miles)
-Day off
-One timed run for each category
