We have a spectator online – ‘david916’, who joined in August 2017 yet remains a spectator.

Has this person been downgraded to spectator for one reason or another?

It makes me feel uneasy that people who may have had posting privileges taken away, are still logging in.

Anyone know why this would happen?

What difference does it make? This is a publicly viewable forum, therefor EVERYTHING that you post can be seen by ANYONE who chooses to look. Plus, there are over 30,000 accounts on this website. over 90% of them are dead accounts. Neither you nor I have any idea who those people may or may not be. Spectator, poster, whatever… at the end of the day you’ll NEVER really know who or what is on the other end of that account.

Stands to reason that someone who has already behaved in such a s~~~ty manner that they’ve had the right to post taken away, might be logging in for ominous reasons.

It’s not the end of the world, but just disable or delete the accounts.

Doesn’t matter if there is a lag, it’s a publicly viewable website. You’re assuming people have had their privileges taken away. Sometimes posts get tied up, it’s a part of the process. Look at the side of the screen it actually says that there is an “automatic filter.” Meaning it’s an automated process. The correct manner t take of this is to use the contact feature to notify KM. If doesn’t take action quick enough for you then sorry, take it up with him.

I’m trying to answer your questions. People are on spectator for any reason you can come up with. At the end of the day it’s mealy a status. Until recently all one had to do to get around it was create a new account. Now? This is a derelict website with no oversight whatsoever.
