I have no idea why Catalonian leadership plays their hand with such slowness as time is of utmost importance and saying they will declare independence next Monday is like asking to be raped in the ass.

They have everything they need to declare independence. But i do understand that it must be tough decision. Spain will not let them go, and European politicians will stand behind big European states due to their own secession movements for as long as their civilian population don’t swarm the big cities in millions with protests.

It looks bad tbh. European politician failed in epic proportions and european people can see how little does europe give a s~~~ about anything that does not comply with the fascist agenda.

And no Cataluña doesn’t have weapons, if they declare independence they will be attacked.

Yes, it is a civil war. And it will trigger others like it in other countries.

We’ll be lucky if it doesn’t happen here. While I believe Texas could probably handle its own business and I’d sure as hell love to see California go f~~~ itself in a corner, I don’t think redrawing national borders in blood is what we need to be doing right now.

It’s not a civil war, it’s one small part of Spain.
They will get nowhere, just like the basques and Eta got no where.
The Spanish military will crush them in five minutes flat.

With the police state that Spain has turned into it is not to much of a shock troops have been sent into Catalonia.
Wish them good luck along with the Kurds. Next up I hope the Basque region of northern Spain and southern France.

It isn’t a civil war yet but it could become one. According to an item I just heard on the radio the last time anything similar happened was 1934. Ended with about 100 deaths, followed soon after by the Spanish Civil War. Denying people a referendum in a situation like this can only lead to them deciding to achieve their objectives “by other means”.
