I was looking through pages of WeGotThisCovered.com to find information on the upcoming Tommy Wiseau movie with James Franco, when this caught my eye.

    http://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/ghostbusters-and-the-nostalgia-for-male-privilege/

I know that this has been discussed many times before, but the people who support it seem to get more pompous and full of s~~~ with every new update that’s posted. They just won’t admit that it’s a stupid thing that they’ve done. It made me so furious that I have to ramble for a bit. Once again, just to be clear – it’s OK to plagiarise a person’s classic and much-loved work and then wonder why the original fans are p~~~ed off about it. Never mind that you’re more interested in shoving your tiresome agenda down people’s throats than just coming up with a fun movie. If audiences object to that, they’re just trying to oppress you. Please pay attention to one of the first sentences, “Women are still a long way from being treated as equals.” That’s because they refuse to act like equals, you deluded c~~~!!! They can’t even come up with their own ideas!! Try making your own damn movie and then bitching about the lousy reception!!!

Male privilege! Partiarchy! Oppression! Oh how hard-done-by women are!! It never stops! D’you know what else we never see in films? How about an Islamic superhero? Or a gay superhero? Or a paraplegic superhero? Or a deaf superhero? Or a priest superhero? Or a pregnant superhero? Or a mormon missionary superhero?? Those ideas have never been done, at least not in any of the movies that I’ve seen. Why not complain about that for a change, instead of this ongoing, soul-crushing rubbish about the lack of female role models in movies!

On the one hand, I hope like hell that this new Ghostbusters will bomb. On the other, we’ll just get more complaints if it does. F~~~ YOU ALL!!! (Not you, them.)

Thanks for that. Uggh. Now for some more caffeine.

I hate modern western movies for this exact reason. Hollywood f~~~s up classics in the name of “social justice” to appease minorities. I have no doubt that in the future, we’ll probably have a pansexual dyke Superwoman named Butch Kent.

Once you have a Fleshlight real vaginas become worthless.

I don’t watch movies anymore the thing nowadays is Hulu or Amazon prime. Last 2 I saw was Deadpool and star wars and both chock full of feminist ideals.

No thank you I’ll stick to older shows.

It’s driving me CRAZY. I know that I should just ignore it, as there’s not much point in griping about something that you can’t change. But it’s sickening. They’re going to keep going until there’s no male role models left. Soon we’ll see a female Blue’s Brothers. Then a female Big Lebowski. Then a female Blade Runner. I could go on. Like they’re going to.

Because coming up with your own ideas is way too hard. Easier to just pinch somebody else’s. Saves you from having to use your, pardon the dirty language, brain. Why should women have to do that? Their brains are not as fertile as men’s. But they must still be treated as equals!! Because hey, it doesn’t matter if you’re the furthest thing from an equal – it’s how you want to be treated that matters, not what you do to earn it!

The only problem I have with your rant, is that it started with “sorry”.

    S~~~ needs to be said.

“Women are still a long way from being treated as equals.” That’s because they refuse to act like equals, you deluded c~~~!!! They can’t even come up with their own ideas!! Try making your own damn movie and then bitching about the lousy reception!!!

The #1 f~~~ up by SONY pictures was calling it “Ghostbusters”.

Ghostbusters III? OK. But not Ghostbusters. Because Bill Murray, Dan Akyroyd and Harold Ramis are the ONLY “Ghostbusters”. Trying to get away with calling it “Ghostbusters” is the fatal flaw…. which is a deliberate attempt to wipe the original from existence.

Picture it. You have a cold. You’re home. You made some soup. And you want to watch “Ghosterbusters”, because Rick Moranis’ coming of Gozer monologue is more hilarious than ANYthing anyone will see in the new movie….. so you type in “Ghostbusters” into Netflix, and the first result is this feminist f~~~~~ry?

    F~~~ Sony Pictures.

It’s the worst trailer in youtube’s history for a good reason. So how will anyone know the difference from now on? We’re calling it “Ghostcunsters”. That’s how. We are taking the dildo and ramming up SONY’s ass for titling the film wrong.

And the only reason “Ghostbusters” actually worked was because the “scientists” actually SUCKED and got fired for being s~~~ty scientists. That’s how the went into the Ghostbusters business in the first place. Because they were s~~~ at their jobs, and knew it.

But it Ghostc~~~stars, they expect the audience to believe “nobody is better at quantum physics”…. than a woman. You can suspend disbelief only so far, but even Ghostbusters was more believable.

D’you know what else we never see in films? …. how about …. a paraplegic superhero?

That’s the first thing I noticed about James Cameron’s AVATAR. The “hero” is a paraplegic in a wheelchair, and the Sigourney Weaver character spends most of the film calling him “Jar head” making him out to be as useless, stupid and lame as possible.

A far cry from Indiana Jones hero.

Now they also want to give Wolverine a boyfriend and Captain America is scheduled to get a “change in sexual orientation”.

I can relate to you Constantine, albeit on a different (technical) level.

I’m currently a freelance editor/camera op/grip. The last film I worked on, there was this female 1st Assistant Director who stood out to me. And by stand out, I mean pretty freaking useless. All she did was shout “Quiet on set”, “Rolling”, and all the other stuff all 1st ADs say. At least she was some decent eye candy.

By comparison, there was also another 1st AD on set, a male. He did what she did and he helped me with my grip work as we were short a few guys. Plus, he was a pretty cool guy. He was useful and a pleasure to work with.

The female 1st AD never helped us with grip work.

From what I have observed, the grips (guys who set-up lights, color gels, dollys, and all the other physical grunt work) I have worked with were all men. I have never seen a female grip in my two years of film set experience.

In general, if a film crew has females in it, the guys have to pick up the slack since women are near useless in a film set. As far as I know, the Ghostc~~~sters film crew were all females. It’s surprising that they actually got a product out the window.

Right? How can you go past lines like “I collect spores, moulds, and fungus.” That’s a true original, and a nice reminder of just how geeky the guys were. My dad and I frequently quote that line to each other, particularly when one of us has picked up a bizarre hobby that’s similar in weirdness to Igon’s. That’s the kind of clever, underhand humour that the original boasted. There won’t be anything like that in the new one, because movies today – feminist-driven ones especially – understand nothing about subtlety.

What kills me even more than this crap is the fact that Bill Murray has nothing but praise for the reboot.

And to top it all off – as demonstrated from that article – people still think that it’s only guys who have a problem with the film. Dude, you can’t possibly tell me that the thousands of downvotes which the trailer received on its first day were all made by men! There are women who won’t be seeing it either, I even know one. I recently overheard one of my female coworkers saying that even she finds it a dumb idea. That’s like saying that when Hitlery didn’t get into office the first time she ran, it was all because of sexism – despite the fact that men are not the only ones who vote, and haven’t been for years.

Well, they’re doubling down on the marketing with Kobe dressing up as a Ghostbuster and flying his private helicopter to save the day.

I see they didn’t get Rhonda Rousey or Beyonce or Anita Sarkeesian to back it up. I guess when the laydeez can’t cut it, you bring in the men to get the job done.

Still nobody’s going to see this movie. Biggest. Flop. Ever.

You know, if they’d had the remains of the original cast hand it off like Star Trek Generations did… make them their daughters, not try to have it be SUCH a political statement… maybe. I mean, everyone loved Sigourney Weaver in Alien, right? She kicked ass and nobody had a problem with that. For f~~~’s sake… Robert Heinlein’s Friday was an awesome story and that was decades ago.

Oh well, let ’em rot. Paul Feig will be fired and Sony will learn. If I were a woman I would not be very proud right about now.

Feminazis have taken over the political sphere.
    They have taken over work.
    An education.
    An college.

Now, they want to destroy the last shreds of male dignaty left, by destroying male role models.

F~~~ those c~~~s, this is why even blue pill men dont want to marry you or date you, you’re a cancer on the world.

Blaming “misoginy” is easier than admitting that their movie was a pile of crap, female actresses or not.

It is a common failing of childhood to think that if one makes a hero out of a demon the demon will be satisfied.
