Laying here with a 104 degree fever, sore throat and ear infection and got a text from an ex-pumpkin.

About five texts in, I responded with

‘Are you aware of the fact that you lack a conscience and might be a sociopath?’

OMG!!!!

Her response was

‘I know. . .’ 😢 (with an emoticon of a sad face)

Interesting coincidence. I happened to have recently read several articles on how to deal with “the sociopath at work”. I have determined I am currently dealing with one ( a “project leader” ) who fits the profile. No conscience. Doesn’t care. But is he self-aware? I’m really not sure!!!

He does/says some s~~~ that’s just mind-blowingly stupid, inconsistent, enough to irritate – even through an email. But I haven’t figured out if he KNOWS it (and does it on purpose ) – or not. Apparently sociopaths don’t care either way. He gets a creamy smile on his face when he gets the better of others.

I was actually thinking about posting about it here.

I’m convinced that a large percentage of the population are unable to evaluate a situation from any perspective other than their own. They are incapable of applying universal principles to each case, but instead cherry pick whatever favors them at the moment. They are incapable of considering more that one or two points of reason at a time, or that more than that is unnecessary since it doesn’t help them get what they want. It doesn’t even matter if the decision will negatively impact then in the future, as they will be fine with re-evaluating again at that point using different criteria….whatever serves their purpose then. Whenever they are caught in obvious hypocrisy, they justify it by claiming it actually it is a fair conclusion due to racial or gender based privilege that works against them.

Ok. Then do it.

plenty of clear fluids (juice, gatorade etc), as elevated temp will dehydrate you without you being aware of it, and this alone will make you feel like crap. Tylenol to lower the fever, but don’t drink alcohol with it. Nothing magical about chicken soup, but it is the easiest thing to make and eat when you feel like crap. Water it down a little as the taste is an improvement on juice and gatorade. You can take antibiotics if it is known that you have bacterial infection causing the symptoms, but if it’s viral, these are a waste of money…

I’m still laying her with a fever, sore throat and a painful ear infection and have been trying to post Part XXIV in my multi-part series Pumpkinology 101 but I have been red flagged or their is a problem with the site because I can reply to topics but when I try to start a topic, I get
