Something wrong with the forums?

Got logged out earlier on the rolling logout, no problem, but noticed an old thread was now the first entry in the latest topics feed, logged back in and went looking back to find said entry on page 10.

As far as I was aware the forum is delayed for non members, but 10 pages worth seems a little extreme, added to the 15 topics currently pending, is something wrong somewhere?

Sometimes if you’re not logged in it wont update topics for days, or click a reply and thread is empty.

I think (but don’t know for fact) this may be just an optimization, because:

-we may have a lot of lurkers, who want to read stuff. Topics are general, a few days delay is not much. Mgtow is getting more and more popular. If one searches content, this site comes up among the first results.

-Better speed for logged in users? (although it is fast even if I don’t log in) (other server computer, maybe?)

-It may be possible to remove /edit out troll / bad stupid hateful or illegal s~~~ before it gets all public. No one wants that some fresh registered troll posts some s~~~ and then the whole forum gets disliked or lawsuit due to a troll. (I think, “pending topics & answers” feature is also for this.)
