The smart boots don’t need the advice. The dumb ones won’t listen. But, here it is anyway for what it’s worth. A damned good article with some sage advice.

Are you kidding? The military INCENTIVIZES stupid young marriages.

You want to get out of the s~~~ barracks? Get married and you can get a house. Then you can get deployed, your little wife can get f~~~ed by all the other guys in your company and SHE can get the house while you get your f~~~ing legs blown off.

I’m sorry but if you’re in the military, you can’t be MGTOW. Maybe after you get out.

We have a MGTOW who posted that he’s going to boot camp. We get all kinds here.

Yep what you’ve pointed out plus some. Don’t forget that an E-1 won’t get random stops at his house for “inspections,” forced work parties in the middle of the night, having to deal with drunk officers who stop by just to harass enlisted people, drunk NCOs and SNCOs who are on an ego trip after hours, COs or battalion brass “stopping by,” dips~~~ roommates who are either too stupid or too lazy to keep the room up for inspection. They also can keep as much booze that they want in a house which they can’t in the barracks. Also you could get an article 15 for stupid s~~~ like accidently putting a dent in a trash can you didn’t see and kicked (that’s if you were on bad terms with the platoon sergeant). Another biggie is that the MPs need a warrant (the militaries version of a warrant to be exact) to go in the house or permission from the resident (head of household witch is usually the GI). An exception would be a health and welfare inspection but that involves some other things. (All of this is from memory folks, I used to be an MP in the US Army and that was about 16 years ago now, so my information may be somewhat off, but I don’t think that it is)

I disagree with the MGTOW. I became even more MGTOW when I was in the military. I saw how disgusting the females acted who hung around the military posts and I stayed far, far away. Don’t get me wrong I did hit up one or two but it was for a VERY limited encounter. You know what that means, and it didn’t happen more than once or twice.

I am on the side of this in this age old MGTOW argument. Military service is noble and all, but nothing about it has anything to do with a man going his own way, in fact, it is guaranteed that you will being going a way that you are told to go, and many times that way can lead to DEATH. Give my life White Knighting for a broken Gynocentric society? Not happening. Not much Sovereignty in that…

Now if we are talking strictly in regards to women only, then ok, but Doc makes some good points.

Great article, but I found this quote to be inaccurate.

While they may be based in fact at their root, we rarely have the opportunity to gaze upon this stupidity in person.

We had numerous occasions to observe this stupidity on my ship.

The guy who fell in love with a woman he met in a gangbang, and wanted to marry.
The guy who went AWOL in Perth Australia to live with a hooker who he had fallen in love with, and when his money ran out she called to cops to get rid of him.
And several run of the mill marriages to girls from their hometown who were desperate to get out of their towns and didn’t love the guy at all, or fat chicks etc.

They really should have classes to teach these guys this stuff in Basic training. The way the NFL and NBA has them to teach the guys about groupies and other assorted leeches and hanger-ons.

I’ve had several family members in the military and their marriages all ended badly. All I can say is if you’re in the military you shouldn’t marry at all. In ancient Rome most men in the army never married until they survived to retirement. Alimony and divorce court and lawyers are far worse than the barracks. Live in the barracks, live cheap, and bankroll a fourth to half your paycheck and live free and happy without women.

Well golly-gee! When I was in the military nobody ever told me that so I just went MGTOW. That’s where my journey began anyway.

I dated but I never got married, never lived with anyone and I never got anybody pregnant. Being military means having a steady government paycheck with a possible pension makes a guy a desirable target.

If you’re military you have to assume that your military wife/GF is going to f~~~ around on you. Everyone wears their financial status on their uniform and swapping partners is no more complicated than walking next door or across the street in the married quarters.

And especially avoid military females. Them f~~~ing around on you is an absolute guarantee. Off the top of my head I can think of six male suicides (a couple of guys in my own section) and they were each due to relations~~~ problems with women. One guy was the ex of my ex. Today we call that a ‘red flag’…

Luckily for me it always backfired on them. Having tactical awareness, self discipline, the ability to keep my mouth shut, a vindictive streak, and a very good lawyer saved my ass more than once.

Doc is correct regarding the incentives the Armed Forces give married soldiers. As a married E-1 you would receive bumps in Basic Allowance for Housing (No Kids – $544.50, With Kids – $725.40), Basic Allowance for Subsistence ($368.29), and Family Separation Allowance (TDY or deployed) ($250.00).
While some entitlements are capped, the base pay for an E-1 with 2 years of service is $1,599.90. Add $1,162.79 for wife only and $1,343.69 to base pay for wife and kids.
Given that the vast majority of E-1’s join for financial reasons these days from regions of economic decline, it is easy to see why so many fall prey to women wanting a quick meal ticket out.

Given the current lack of male mentorship and guidance for males, it is very predictable that the Military Meal Ticket will continue to be utilized and abused. The poor guys have no idea that they have been setup from the beginning and I’ve lost count of the recruiters that have been relieved of duty for banding the girlfriend/wife while the soldier is away at BCT/AIT.
