I like it, but maybe somebody needs to do a study on WORK, SKILL, and INITIATIVE inequality. Why are all the studies only about differences in OUTCOMES based upon membership in a demographic population? What about the INPUTS? Ignoring them and acting as they don’t exist. How many of these single women work/worked 60 hours a week? Night shifts and weekends?

For years, I’ve responded in the middle of the night to GO FIX SOMETHING NOW in a manufacturing plant.

Do people who are financially responsible, develop marketable skills, and have initiative, have more WEALTH? Is that UNfair?

A year or two ago, a brainwashed colleague started bantering about the ‘wage gap’. I explained to him that the ‘Man’ was color blind to all colors except one: Green. If the company could hire the same talent for 20% less, the entire workforce would be women, or whatever minority was mythically paid 20% less than we were, but had the same skills and initiative. He didn’t really have a response to that. I then went on to say I’ve worked with competent minorities (women, blacks, asians, immigrants, etc) before, and they were paid the same or MORE than angry white men. Typically MORE in larger companies where they have quota systems in place, formal or informal.

I see it all the time at work (a hospital). The female nurses rarely fund their retirement account even though the hospital matches part of it. They need all that money they make for dutch bros coffee, shoes, and days at the spa. They lack discipline. Many of the older single ones never buy a house, too much work I guess. No man to hitch to the cart. they have to pay out the ass for handy men. They love to travel and go on expensive vacations, but don’t have any real assets.

The most important thing you can do is ask yourself, what do I really want out of life. Really think about it, and always be true to yourself. Then Do it.
