Japanese universities are ditching humanities and social sciences

Boo hoo, I got triggered, I need a safe space and a case of cold beer.
I wonder what the fear/cringe factor was in the rest of westernized universities.

Social sciences aren’t sciences at all. They’re the study of emotions, and not in any meaningful way. It doesn’t analyze anything, except how you feel, how things make you feel, with no explanation why it does and that’s not even the focus. As far as I’m concerned, social sciences were an elective class you took to fill your credit quota, not useful at all.

Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.

Don’t agree. Shutting down literature, history and philosophy is not a great move. Even if they were just available as minors its always wise to study history, philosophy and literature. Learning about our ancestors gives us insight on their failures and successes. Now gender studies on the other hand, f~~~ that s~~~. Japan see’s the generation snowflake the US and Europe are creating and wants none of that s~~~.

Man, history and literature I don’t agree with definitely, but sjw’s and academics are destroying those courses though. I think in the long run, its best universities do away with them and lovers of those subjects do their own learning of it.

Right. Never underestimate the value of studying those who figured out how all this works thousands of years ago. Studying and starting to really understand Homer for example, to this day is still one of the most valuable things I ever got from college.

Now gender studies on the other hand, f~~~ that s~~~

No s~~~. I think the problem may come when the SJWs and their ilk try to conflate their utter bulls~~~ with classics like Shakespeare and homer and act like what they have to say rises to the same level. It doesn’t.

Not by a long f~~~ing shot.

Feminists want to remove history from the books and re-write it with all female characters.

They want to ban Homer, Herdidus, Shakespeare and even more modern writers.

They hate men and white men the most.

They are typical tyrants. As soon as they gain a little power they want to ban even the thought of opposition.

    And it works…for a while.

Then again most of the Duke 88 who signed a guilty verdict before the evidence came in where History professors, Philosophy professors and the kind you guys are saying should be kept around. These fields are so highly feminized that it would probably be better off not taking the class and, like someone mentioned above, if you desire learn it on your own. I did that with ancient culture as an adult.

The only philosophy professor that is close to speaking the truth is “The Factual Feminist” Christina Hoff Sommers:

I agree and I’m sure those types of academia are safe. What this is about is punting the gender studies in
all of its forms. Useless brain deadening feminist bulls~~~ and allowing academic courses that are practical
    and contribute to workforce.

ps: there a many other articles about this but I did not want to litter the post with them.
Easy to find and if you read just a few of them you will notice a lot of them are PC but the overall feel
is that universities are gunning for the feminist courses.

I say ‘good onto you Japan.’
