It has been over three months since I have posted a thread regarding the Zoom Video Communications “Live video conferencing” cloud based system. First up, the MGTOW.com site is not affiliated with Zoom Video Communications nor receives any compensation for the use of this product. KM and staff do however support the desire of MGTOW members to communicate in a real time environment. As such, they make every attempt to ensure that Zoom Video Conference session invitation ID’s are not posted on forums.
The Zoom Video system allows up to 50 participants to interact with each other in a “Live video conferencing” session. This is not a text “chat” session, but shared real time audio, video and computer display signals. There is a text chat feature within the Zoom Video package, but the primary purpose of the system is live audio and video exchange. Zoom Video “session” information is normally posted under the “Computers, Games and Technology” Forum category.
Bottom line up front, this is a secure system because involved MGTOW members take great pains to not publish the weekend session links on the forum. The links are shared by vetted MGTOW members who have joined Zoom Video sessions previously, but are also “known” MGTOW members in good standing.
To ensure that MGTOW members only sign in, the session ID is available only by PM or direct email. Email address exchange is only conducted via PM. New users are encouraged to post a “Zoom Video Session ID” request to the forum. Vetted MGTOW members will look on the forum for requests from members for Zoom Video session access. These members are normally quite responsive to requests and will PM the invitation link to anyone asking. These vetted members look at the MGTOW profile of any member asking for access to ensure that they are not trolls prior to releasing the session ID.
Zoom Video session attendees DO NOT have to use a video camera during meetings, but this greatly increases the interaction between all participants. Sign in with your MGTOW name and it’s up to you to share your video but not sharing your audio defeats the purpose of joining.
The sessions are currently available on Weekends only because the majority of MGTOW members work Monday thru Friday. Once the sessions begin, they run continuously until the next U.S. working day. There are currently 60+ MGTOW members from around the world who join scheduled Zoom Video sessions. Session invite ID’s are changed each weekend as another level of security.
Zoom Video sessions can be joined from any computer/smart phone/mobile device. Specific instructions on basic Zoom Video settings may be found at: Getting started with Zoom
You can see if your computer or device will work at https://zoom.us/test and click the “JOIN” tab.
We have found that it works best to coordinate meetings with peers ahead of time instead of just joining in to see whom might be online at that specific moment in time.
A reminder that each zoom session is a unique event and the invitation information changes each time. So Zoom Video Session information will be announced each time one is scheduled. The meeting invitation WILL NOT be published via forum to ensure that only MGTOW members may join. Please post any further Zoom Video Communications questions or concerns.
