I like how the article is trying to hide the fact that men are starting to figure out that a marriage contract is a BAD deal for men.
They blame the economy or lack of an education or income. Both are qualities that give women the gina-tingles to get married. The article itself noted that women with just a high school diploma is less likely to get married. Why? because a man with less or equal education doesn’t fit into her hypergamic plan.

No marriages ? To hell with that industry, if people focus on real world problems instead of burning money on s~~~ like that, we will live in a better place.

The cost of a marriage is so absurd, where I live this means 4 to 5 years of HARD work to in a very good paying job, something that will be like 6 figures in US.

But women expect that guy that’s marrying her to step perfectly into the step father role and seamlessly know how to be a dad without really being a dad, unless the dad isn’t much of a dad and then he should know exactly how to step over the dad and be a real dad. I’d give the welfare system a healthy dose of credit as well. You can be a guy making 50k a year struggling to support a wife and kid, or a guy making 50k a year living with a “single mom” girlfriend who probably gets 40k a year in welfare benefits because she’s a single mom.

Getting married costs money to do, is more expensive to stay married(loss of welfare benefits for lower income people and tax penalties for higher income people), AND costs money if it fails and you want a divorce.
