    Semi fun question here.

If California did secede would the Hispanics in that state try and move further up North/East or go back home?

I can’t see them wanting to stay, unless California gave up entirely and became a part of Mexico. Even then they probably wouldn’t want to stay as many of them left Hispanic countries in the first place.

California as an independent state would be pretty poor as well, at least in the wrong run. And what of the conservatives? Would they leave? Would Left Wingers start moving there in droves?

How long before Cali would become a Third world country?

Well if Oregon and Washington states followed suit, it would save the rest of us down South the trouble of having to secede twice in 150 years.

The real question is, can we count on the “big one” earthquake and subsequent tsunami washing all three of those libtard and hispanic infested regions out to sea?

California has the fifth largest economy in the world. I think it would do ok as a nation, other than the socialist crap would eat them alive. I don’t think the Hispanics would move out, it’s better than Mexico.

The bigger issue would be the fact that you would never see another Democrat win the White House if you took our either Cali or New York. That would be a monumental shift in national power.

I wish Texas would secede. They’ve given us the Savings & Loan meltdown, Enron, too many oil scandals to list. Every 10 years or so they seem to bring the national economy to it’s knees with some get rich quick bulls~~~ that some asshole down there came up with. And all they do is bitch about the rest of us. Let them go, bring Puerto Rico in and we don’t even have to change the flag. And the Cowboys suck!!!

Just messing with my Texas bros….

If the information coming out of the US Geological Survey is anything to go by, you may not have long to wait.

If they did there would not be enough paychecks to support their social programs when the feds money stopped coming in. They would have to go after CEOs and millionaires. These guys would bail before being robbed. Taking jobs and wealth with them.
Southern Cal is a barren desert without routed Colorado river water or all the dams controlled by the Federal Bureau of Land Management. The place would dry up, and revert back to looking like the Arizona/ Nevada desert it really is. LA, San Deigo, Simi Valley, Temecula etc. are not green places on their own. This would mean buying the water back. Unless they want to make the whole state homeless they can’t do it.

If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.

California has a large economy but is trillions of dollars in debt. They have a good economy in terms of American dollars, but they wouldn’t be able to use American dollars as their currency as their own country. They would need their own money, and how would they be able to print their own money?

If they are trillions in debt, then their money would have no value. It would just be pieces of paper. We have gold to back up our money, what would California have? They are not going to secede, not today, not yesterday, and not in the future.

I know, it’s unfortunate. Plus, Democrats would never allow it. They get their money from Hollywood and the Left. Plus, California has 55 Electoral votes. A Republican can win the Presidency without California, but a Democrat cannot win without them. Dems need California just for that reason. California ain’t going nowhere.

That’s pretty much what I was thinking. It is not as simple as many people like to think it is. Like Scotland becoming independent or Australia becoming a Republic and compared to Cali seceding those things are easier!

Whole world already became a third world country.

    Spain for example:
    Drugs? Yes
    Violence? Allah snackbar
    Corruption?…
Poverty: people (men 99% sleeping in atm, people divin in trash)
    Riots and police supresión: Catalunya.

And is gonna get worse, I hope.

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

I applaud ALL states in the choice to seceed. Even states as moronic as California.

It would either go down in flames due to unfunded liabilities (social welfare programs) or suddenly turn violently conservative in order to stay afloat.

Either way, it would be a great experiment to watch and I applaud any State that would choose to get off the Federal Teet.

We have gold to back up our money

    LOL. No we don’t.
Yes, the US has a gold reserve but its value is tiny in the grand picture.

“We’re supposed to”. Different Presidents and bad policies have dwindled it down, but the textbook definition to explain our money is that we have it backed by gold to hold its value. That 20 Trillion National debt tho…..

California has the fifth largest economy in the world.

That old chestnut? The size of California’s economy depends entirely on it’s ability to “freely” trade with the rest of the US and trade overseas under the auspice of US negotiated trade pacts.

California has to import drinking water for f~~~’s sake, let alone water for needed for it’s agribusinesses. Do you think Nevada is going to give away that water for free to an independent California? Do you think they’re be growing much in the Imperial Valley once the taps are shut off?

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

Without water, their wine industry goes in the tanks. They’re already have an unusual amount of wildfires this year.

Ever read the book: “The creature of Jekyll Island”? The US Mint is not part of the Federal Reserve (which is not federal and may have no reserve). We have fiat currency that is only backed by a promissory note that we will pay off the national debt. Ft. Knox is under the US Treasury.
