Got a first in “international business strategy” whatever the hell that translates to five years ago, protested the quality of the course on graduation day, has had two complaints and a prior legal action dismissed and is now attempting to sue the university because

‘Since graduating … it has been proven that the degree … does not play a role to help secure a rewarding job with prospects’.

A degree especially a first even in a dumbass subject like this opens a lot of doors, but you still have to convince someone that you are both worthy of employing and can be an asset to their company. so nothing at all to do with making herself nigh on unemployable with her antics since graduating then?

Well with a degree they give you the jist of it at the lecture and tell you which books to read.

Really you teach your degree yourself through a lot of reading.

The quality of some of my lecturers when I was t university in 1995 was quite poor but the university never guaranteed me a job.

Silly biatch probably thought she could read a couple of books about international business strategy and then be straight in a job on £250,000 per year advising multinationals on their international strategy.

These kids need to be known before they enter college that no education guarantees you to a job, but guarantees you to mass debt always.

Seriously, parents need to guide their kids so they don’t end up wasting time with worthless degrees, but help them pursue something they have a sporting chance of getting.

Here is the thing about business… 90% is common sense learned on the job give the particular industry. Accounting, Finance, Managing People, Marketing etc… is all common sense.

MBA are merely and afterthought at the C-Level Executive suite; more often than not if a large company wants you to have an MBA they will pay for it. If you are fresh out of college expect to be a peon in someone elses money making system.

Business and consequently business deal are about results. What can you do for me now that is A) Going to increase revenue and ultimately raise gross profit. B) Are you going to save me money by figuring out ways to cut costs. C)Anything else is looked at as a necessary evil to those writing the checks.

International business is most often seasoned and procured by veterans at a company. Studying s~~~ in a book and writing a paper on “how to properly use cultural normns in Japan” does not necessarily qualify you for a high paying exciting job.

That University is in the town I live.

It was formerly a polytechnic, has a terrible reputation and is officially ranked as one of the worst university’s in the country.

Any degree from the ARU is worthless and the entry requirements are low, so that tells you she was thick as s~~~ to begin with.

A degree is no guarantee to a prosperous career.

It’s a competitive market and nobody owes her a job. Especially when there are higher salaries at stake. There’s plenty of graduates that ended up in dead end jobs or careers that weren’t relevant to their degrees.

This is typical of modern snowflakes. Blame everybody else because your life didn’t go the way you planned it to.
