Has anyone else followed this show? It’s actually halfway decent. Also it gives a great portrayal of a woman that starts out seemingly virtuous but over time her manifestation into a black-hearted bitch is revealed bit by bit. It also shows a male lead that at times shows his trad-con side, but also doesn’t act like a floormat when his woman tries to pull s~~~ on him.

There are a few “strong female” leads but they aren’t over the top and they have flaws and weaknesses just like…”gasp”…real people. No Kung Fu girl power superheroes flying from strings without breaking  a sweat or breaking a nail.

The alternate take on the revolutionary war and the book of revelations is a breath of fresh air, even if the show isn’t a masterpiece.

I enjoy the show. I wasn’t a fan when Icabod’s wife came in. I was glad to see her being slowly moved out of the “golden vigina” status and shown like a backstabbing woman.

I think it’s a great lesson to be learned. Not to mention Icabod’s sidekick sees their relationship for the lie it really is. Not to mention she was mentored by a guy so she has a bit of common sense. Her sister borderlines on the prototypical badass chick, but even she can’t overcome the odds by herself and so it becomes a team effort.

I wouldn’t call it a MGTOW show, but there certainly are lessons to be learned if you pay close attention to the interaction between the characters. And Icabod isn’t a white knight, mangina type. He actually has a backbone.

I also enjoy the show too. I haven’t seen the last few episodes of season 2, but the characters are pretty good on that show.
