I always wondered this. It seems more natural in human movement to either be standing or laying down, rarely sitting.
We are no longer hunter-gatherers that are constantly walking around most of the day looking for food. Even those who exercise a ton still sit around a lot of the day. It’s just a consequence of how civilization has progressed.
