I tried being a step-dad once. Forget having any control over anything that happens in your house whatsoever once those little savages invade your home.

Had 7 and 10 year old “step-sons” come as baggage with the loving wife. They were spoiled because mom was in a never ending contest with the dad to be their best friend and never acted the role of “parent”.

I put up with their passive aggressive behavior, stealing my money my personal effects and defying me in my own house for 3 years. I was not permitted to establish any rules of behavior or discipline her kids in any way. Try an imagine living in a home where kids that age were allowed to run a muck and stay up till 2-3 AM all the time even on school nights. I got virtually no sleep except when I went out of town on business travel.

As a result the little assholes were in constant trouble with authorities both inside and outside of school. Once I decided to cut off the money flow and told them they were welcome to leave anytime they wanted. The whole bunch were quick to depart. For me it became a matter of self-preservation….they had to go!

Years later I learned thru the grape vine that the oldest was kicked out of college for never going to class, larceny and dealing drugs. The youngest ended up with 2 felony counts of lewd acts with a child and cyber stalking young boys on the internet.

Thankfully, I now enjoy complete and blissful peace in my home. I sleep soundly, have reconnected with old friends that come over to visit, get laid once in a while, and have tons of cash and all the time world to do anything I want.

Don’t ever marry. And especially don’t marry some psycho bitch with children. You’ll simply end up being a mule pulling a cart for assholes that won’t ever contribute anything to household or society as a whole. That entire family was nothing but white trash. And the worst part was that the bitch had hit the wall already and the sex wasn’t even that good.

Thanks Lonestar! I hang my head in shame whenever I reflect on how stupid I was to think that a woman would keep up her end of the bargain in that step-dad relations~~~. It is good to know that I wasn’t the only one who put forth their best effort, only to see it go totally unappreciated all those years.

Semper Fi brother and thank all your fellow Texans for sending those boys up during that “Bit of Unpleasantness” we experienced here in Virginia from 1861 to 1865. It is I’m afraid, something that will inevitably have to be repeated with the PC crowd trying to sweep our southern heritage and history under carpet. You are not alone Travis. A male relative of my grandfather’s served as gun crew on the heavy cannons mounted on Drewry’s Bluff above the James River guarding the eastern approach to Richmond, VA. My grandfather who was born in 1898 was named Robert Lee….. : )
