Yeah the financial burden thing made me laugh out loud reading that, but that entire paragraph is a gem.
Some of the things I hate about being single are (in no particular order): lack of love, affection and emotional support;
Women have rarely offered me emotional support (I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that this happened since I can’t remember a single instance). More often when I show weakness it’s like they don’t know what to do with me and wait it out until I “man up” and get through it myself. Affection and love are kind of arbitrary.. and also things you can get from a dog if you want them. From a woman’s perspective I’m expected to give this to them by the truckload.
not having someone to go on vacation with;
I travel a fair amount – by myself. I see on a regular basis what kind of circus women turn vacations into. You go to a great place full of culture and things to experience, and a woman wants to sit on her ass at a resort, bitches about anything requiring effort, and needs to stuff her face every 2 hours.
not having someone to share domestic tasks with;
It’s the 21st century. Domestic tasks require almost no effort. But who shovels the snow, or mows the lawn? Are those tasks shared?
being excluded from social gatherings because I don’t have a partner;
Which I hate going to, and I don’t know a single man that enjoys them either (maybe they exist, I don’t know)
not having someone to talk to at home on a day to day basis;
Assuming these are quality conversations? Maybe. Inevitably all my day to day conversations were about mundane crap that didn’t matter. It was idle chatter I could do without easily.
having to cope with the financial burden of being single (apartment, bills etc.);
100% with you on that one Soulman. When I was with a woman I’d hemorrhage money in all directions. I use about 20% of the utilities I did when I was with a woman. They run hot water constantly, use gobs more electricity, etc. Require constant entertainment, dinner bills go through the roof, it never ended.
not having a regular source of quality sex available
If I could shack up with a woman providing tons of “quality sex”? Maybe. But realistically with the time and financial burden of long term relationships, this is better handled by other means. I think women tend to flatter themselves about the quality of the sex they provide, but maybe I just never found the right one.

I don’t care if single women are happier, that has no effect on me. But I thought it was interesting all the reasons this woman gives as reasons to be in a relationship, are only good from a female perspective and are reasons I’d cite for staying single as a man. I couldn’t take reading the comment section. Too much estrogen rage.
