I have never really cared about making a budget to track my spending and income but I figured I’d do one for May. I have always lived within my means, no debt except for cars or homes, but I wanted to see how much I had left over at the end of each month.

So basically all I did was save my receipts, subtract the spending amount from the income amount, and I see what I have left over.

Even though I was never struggling, I think that knowing how much I have left over at the end of the month is a great thing. I can take the extra and save/invest how I want and I know I won’t be hurting because of it next month.

I keep things simple, I have a savings (emergency) account and also an IRA. I’m going to be placing as much as I can into the IRA and the rest will go into the ER fund.

Oh and one other thing that helps with the budget….NOT HAVING A BROAD TO WASTE THAT EXTRA MONEY ON!

Just wanted to share that doing a simple budget can really help you understand where you are financially.

You’ve kept it simple and have an end goal defined, nothing could be better. I am sure that you’ll be surprised regarding how much extra income can be obtained by just being aware of your spending habits.
    Best of luck

I completely agree. Been there done that. Very time consuming, but it’s woth to do it for a year or two as a way of introspection. One of the most important stuff in life is to be in positive at the end of the month. And zero bank loans. I Don’t know US life, but in my country, one can get away with owning a bycicle and renting a cheap one room apartment, no loans for that too. And no girl with never-ending list of demands and hijacking all your life’s time and money. That’s another most important lesson: “love sucks”.

For MGTOW Men one simple way is to live a very frugal lifestyle! Living below your means! Who then need budgeting? But.. If it’s not possible then use Logic and figure out where you can cut ✂ corners. I have always reminded myself that money 💰 doesn’t grow on trees !🌳 Sooner or later the credit cards are maxed out and you hit a financial wall that can’t be denied!

For most guys, budgeting is easy…We live on what we earn and that is that..When we do it on paper, we find out how much we can save on cutting what stuff out..For women, they think the entire bank is their budget and you just go to the bank to get money for her because she needs more of it…
Because they cant live simply and has to have that shoe or dress or trinket in every color available to mix and match with all the craziness they can think of…Whew..glad I am done with that…

I stand with feet apart and let my balls hang free...Manginas dont have balls...See how they stand and sit at the whim of their masters...
