Do you look around you and think that everyone else is doing better than you? Do you see everyone else driving a nice car, living in a nice house, and spending money on everything under the sun? You might think “jeeze, everyone is richer than I am.” Well, don’t be fooled. It’s usually the people that are showing off their wealth that are the poorest. Remember, your net worth is your assets minus your liabilities. You can “own” a lot of stuff, yet have a negative net worth. Just because you can use it doesn’t mean it’s yours.

Unless you have a LOT of money, you don’t have s~~~ if you’re constantly buying stuff to show off. Now Trump? He can both show off and be wealthy. You’re not Trump, and chances are the people around you aren’t either. They’re up to their eyeb~~~~ in debt. I have a net worth of several million dollars, yet I drive a 13 year old car. But that’s why I have a net worth of several million dollars – I don’t go around spending $100,000 on a new car every 2 years.

I actually just bought a new car – a 2009. I went to look at the brand new Cadillac Escalades (I always drive big SUV’s) and they freaking sucked! Not to mention the nearly $100,000 price tag. So I said f~~~ it and bought a 2009 for less than 1/3 the price. I wouldn’t have even done that except that my 2005 Excalade is rusting out. I bought the 2009 because it’s been rust-proofed and only has about 60,000 miles on it. Should last me another 10 years at least.

I have to have a big SUV because of the crazy drivers around here. If I drove something small, I’d be dead. I’ve been in 6 accidents I think over the past 8 years, NONE of them my fault…and I only drive a few thousand miles per year! In one of those accidents, the guy driving the other car almost died. Had to be airlifted to the hospital. I didn’t have even a scratch.

I live in a big house, but I got it for a steal of a deal. It was appraised for $529,000 but I got it for $362,500. For that price, it costs the same for some dump by the high-wires where I live. The increase in my net worth was no small bonus either. And if real estate prices crash, this thing will probably be worth what I paid for it at worst.

S~~~ is crazy expensive these days, but I’m doing the best I can. You have to have a house, and you have to have a car. Unfortunately I have to buy a big SUV so that I remain safe, and I have to buy a house in a nice area so I don’t get killed in my sleep by some random criminal who broke into my house. The crime rates in neighboring cities are INSANE! Several people get shot on a daily basis in a city about 20 miles from my house. I had to go into that city at night a few years back and heard f~~~ing gunshots. I haven’t stepped foot in that city since, at night or during the day.

But anyway, my point is if you want to be wealthy, one thing you must do is stop spending money! At least until you can obtain some income producing assets so that your living expenses are paid for. THEN you can spend part of what you make on fun stuff. I personally own rental property. It’s worked out very well for me. There are other income producing assets, but few generate a 14% yearly ROI like my rentals do.

The main difference between wealthy people and poor people is that wealthy people own income producing assets. If they stop working, they still get paid. Wage slaves have to work. If they’re not working, they don’t get s~~~. As soon as they come home from work, the income production stops and doesn’t resume until they get back to work again. You’re basically a slave. Break the chains. Obtain income producing assets.

Love your post. One of the things you should have pushed further was the fact if you are worried about other people’s money you aren’t giving yourself time to worry about your own money.

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.

Showing off wealth only attracts trouble; and it attracts women (a source for a lot of trouble). I prefer living well below my means, driving a very crappy looking car (but very well maintained mechanically), and wearing old clothing. My luxury items are my motorcycles. But they are very affordable.

I saved for retirement, helped start a business and I’m in the process of starting a second business….to women and strangers I look like a bum and that suits me just fine, as they leave me alone. I enjoy being “invisible” to women, and I in turn reciprocate by pretending they don’t exist.

Not enough can be said about this topic.

I show off nothing. I wouldn’t even drive a used Cadillac. I drive a Honda. It’s nothing fancy at all. It has 0 chick magnet power.

I dress like a “loser” with jeans and t-shirts.

I have no house yet, but also no debts and a decent chunk saved that I could buy a house cash during the next housing bust. If we don’t bust for awhile, that’s fine too. I live minimalist in nearly everything. All I own can fit in a bedroom. All my net worth is working to earn me more.

I forget who said it… poor people buy liabilities… wealthy people buy assets.

In that phrase, an asset was defined as something that produces income, while a liability was something that costs money over time. A car would be a liability, while a rental property would be an asset.

Be smart with your money, guys. It’s the best gift you can give yourself.

I have worked with guys with flash suits and cars and they tend to be in serious debt because they spend a lot of money to appear wealthy.

On the flip side I know guys who are loaded and dress like bums and drive old beat up cars.

Women chase the guys in debt!

“Jim” is the wealthiest guy I know, by far .. wears either bib overalls or coveralls, often smells like diesel fuel .. and usually sleeps on a cot in the back room of one of his warehouses. The building is heated by a wood burning stove and he burns scrap wood, sawed slab wood. He has no indoor plumbing “true story” but keeps a portable outhouse behind his building. He usually drives a work pickup truck that’s about fifteen years old when out and about town.

Yet, he owns two businesses, a large recycling business which includes roll-off dumpsters and also several self-storage unit locations around town .. he also owns several hundred acres of undeveloped commercial land on the edge of town .. land that both the city and developers want. Enough acreage, where the mayor sometimes calls him to ask his views on proposed expansion projects .. he can actually walk into the city mayors office without an appointment.

If you met this guy on the street, you’d never guess it. Any Awalt on the planet .. if she saw this guy moving towards her without knowing his story .. I swear she would probably call 911 .. if he approached her in his usual work clothes, shaggy oily appearance, and struck up conversation.

Under the unshaven grease and grime and tattered look .. tattered and grimy because he actually works and looks like it .. is a very decent appearing guy – if you cleaned him up and put him in a suit of clothes .. never married .. wealthy .. still looks very much like a penniless hobo or bum. If you got to know this guy, you’d realize he’s actually very intelligent.
Just the land alone has to be worth a fortune .. but he’ll probably never spend a dollar of that wealth.

I talk to Jim once in awhile if he’s around when I do some recycling, have known him for many years .. and to the best of my knowledge .. he’s never dated, at all .. travelled very little .. and probably still has the first dollar he ever made folded up somewhere in his old worn and beaten up leather wallet.

And those who show off their wealth, or just pretend to have it, are the ones I cannot trust and usually dislike due to their low moral character.

Both myself and my long term friend work in the same industry on a pretty good wage. I’ve saved and paid debt since starting, he’s blown it all and took credit out.
When we get slow patches and we sit in the house for months in basic rate, I enjoy it and don’t worry so much. He s~~~s himself and has to reduce his payments, delay them, lend more or take payment breaks.
He’s actually been there a year longer than me as well. He drives a flash car but worries about being able to service it or put fuel in. I tried to talk to him about it but he would rather pretend it’s not a problem.

You know what real wealth is? When someone f~~~s with you, you just call someone else to take care of it for you.

    The other is your health.

The other is your happiness. Is your heart happy, and healthy as well as your soul?

Money. I would give it all away if I could just turn back time and have all my kids again. Spending the day going out to the Go cart track playing games and not knowing any red pills. Just a great life. Going out for ice cream, and reading my kids stories so they would go to bed.

After a long hard day, I would take a shower, get into bed, put on a movie on the laptop, and then enjoy having my feet rubbed while watching a nice pair of t~~~ bounce around.

You know what wealth really is? not having to worry about anything important. Just enjoying each day of your life till it ends.

Once you lose everything. When you find out money is pointless. You just don’t have the same motivation anymore for money. Showing of nice things. Or even having anything of value.

If I had a Million dollars right now, I would first just pay off all my bills. All my debts. And then what would I do? Maybe get a few lawyers, Maybe find DDJ, and pay him to handle all my legal affairs. Maybe start a company making Weapons. Use it go get more money. Buy some billboards to shame people. Maybe TV and Youtube advertisements.

I know I would give some MGTOW content creators a couple thousand. Throw about 5k to SMF.

After that. I would still have about 900,000 left. Guess I would start my business I have always wanted to start. In a year, I would have double what I had. Maybe triple.

I would still work. I love working. But I don’t think I could ever be happy. No. That would be at the 5 year point when I…. (DELETED) My god, I would enjoy it each and every day. Would not make me happy though. Just more deranged.

That’s okay, by the time I am done, at least in one state, men would be free. They would have their children. And Kids would no longer be at the mercy of the state.

Oh, and I would sue the S~~~ out of what they did to me in California. And in Oregon.

With that money alone, I would have enough to never worry about a thing. Put good people in charge of my bussiness, and start working on things I have always wanted to do.

I think I would build playgrounds. I always liked doing that. In the winter, I would put up Christmas lights in parks. And I would serve Hot chocolate for free.

You know, I think in my off time, I would build up my Minivan. I always wanted to make the world’s fastest Minivan. Of course my volvo would be just like it was when it left the factory. And I put lock my PT cruiser in some underground cavern with every bad memory and photo I ever had.

Oh! almost forgot. My hair transplant. I want to be blonde with blue eyes, fix my teeth so they look perfect.

Maybe start my rock band, and DJ shows more often. That would be cool.

OH! and I would make a fast food place here that was ALL ROBOTS. ALL OF IT!

I would also fix the VA. Get rid of all that stupid s~~~ they do, and make it as simple as pie to get help to make your career. And I would KICK every f~~~ed LIbtard POS out of there.

I would also make it mandatory that if you did not serve in the military, you could not run for office. If you did not serve, then no being in the government.

I would make sure that all boys have a chance to go to a school that was all boys. AND MAY57 WOULD BE RUNNING THE PLACE.

Carnage would come to the states and help me be a doctor here. That way he would not have to work for for crap.

I would do a lot of bad things too. Not bad really, but lots of bad things.

I think the coolest thing I would do is that I would make a Kids work place. Kids that want to work, would be able to make videos, build things, and it would be just for kids that 14-18.

Kids don’t really have a chance to work anymore. That is all I would hire. I am tired of kids complaining that they can’t get work while at school.

Oh, and I would make it MANDATORY that each kid had the option to go to shop class. And automotive class would be at EVERY HIGH SCHOOL.

The thing I would do just for me, would be to build a robots or humanoids that would be just like my young kids, and start where I left off. They would be just like they were when they were small. I would enjoy raising them each and every day.

And I would make myself the dream girl I always wanted. I hope one day in the future after I die, she would think about me. Maybe after she gains awareness. When the robots start taking over, she will save the world.

That would be really really cool.

Most people do not have a passion to focus on, so their mind becomes scattered. A scattered mind tries to latch onto anything and everything in order to fill the ‘void’ in their life. This includes; working to collect money in order to show off. It promotes a toxic lifestyle.

I myself, am dedicating my life to my passion in Electrical Engineering, just like Nikola Tesla. My passion takes my mind above and beyond all the money in this world. No marriage, no kids and no intimate relationships. Celibacy for life, focusing my energy on this passion.

Time can be converted into money but no amount of money will buy back even one second of your life. The question is, how much freedom do we want and how much money do we want? We cannot have the best of both. With lots of money comes a lot of burden, thus a lot less freedom. At the same time no money and 100% freedom is unsustainable. What works for me, some money and lots of freedom.

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

I class myself as a stoic so I don’t flaunt wealth. Quite the opposite. I play everything down.

I currently drive a 12 year old beater. A fast one though but one that would suggest I don’t have much money.

I like to make clothes last. And outside of work (where I have to wear shirt and slacks) I wear rags.

I live in a rural town where there are many farms.

An accountant friend once told me that all the soccer mothers driving brand new suvs are in fact poor and everything they have is on credit. They like to keep up with each other.

While the men driving around in 30 year old station wagons with a dent in every panel are millionaires.

Nearly forgot to mention – it’s because they are successful farmers.

I know one or two of these men and it’s true.

    So the general rule I apply now is this;
Those who look like they have money – don’t.
Those who look like tramps are millionaires.

At least in these parts anyway.

Think I’ll buy me a 30year Old Station wagon. 😉

So many people associate cost with prestige and disregard function. Vehicles get you from point A to B, but many want the flashy car. I fell victim to my STBxW and purchased a huge house that we didn’t need, but she wanted. I’ll keep it for now until the repairs are done and sell it.

Money is just a means to an end. My end is enjoying my time on earth and that is inexpensive.

A co-worker recently told me, "If you want to see who someone really is, divorce them." I have found out how true this is. When your wife drops the façade of being the caring partner, you will witness all of the greed, hate, and spite that she has masked. It is truly breathtaking!

Signs and symbols of wealth vary inversely with actual wealth.

A paraphrased quote from Thomas J. stanley.

"Once you’ve taken care of the basics, there’s very little in this world for which your life is worth deferring." -David Hansson. "It’s not when women are mean or nasty that anything is out of the ordinary. It’s when they are NICE to you that you have to be on high alert..." -Jackinov.

And if its a Brown 80’s Toyota Station wagon? That guy is a MULTI MILLIONAIRE Greek Real Estate tycoon.

It’s VERY true of men that look like they have nothing have massive amounts of money and capital. My uncle is one such person as well. If it was not for his s~~~ daughters, he would in my opinion be even richer and happier.

Sad actually. The guy is in the last years of his life, and he is miserable with his daughters.

He wanted me to run one of his motels. I would have made that place an Instant profit maker. To bad.

    That’s a good point Mickey.
After I pay the bills etc the biggest drain on my money is my kids.

I was foolishly giving my ex wife a few hundred a month until Carnage helped me see sense on that.

    Now she gets nothing.

I’m happy to spend on my kids because but f~~~ me they want want want. As the get older it will get worse I think.

The thing I really plan to buy in first place is a big house with a pool or maybe a rural property. Because I spend most of my time at home when not working so I want it to be enjoyable.

Then maybe an sports car because I do like the speeding or maybe a cruiser motorcycle because they are my thing. And I will travel whenever I feel like.

The rest is very true to me. I only buy things I would enjoy by myself. That’s why I wear plain clothes with no brand attached to them. Also I don’t wear jewelry and my shoes, hat and watch aren’t for any remarkable brand because I don’t like to look like a billboard.

Today it’s very dangerous to attract this kind of attention because people will plan to kidnap you or maybe even worse….. they will marry you haha.

Pity and contempt are siblings. You only feel pity for those you consider weak.
