Short Summary:
A Swedish girl posed top-less for a school photo. She was encouraged to do so by her classmates in order to make a political statement. She felt it was unfair that it’s not a problem for guys to take of their shirts, but not women.

I seriously can’t shake off the feeling that she literally got duped into this by some of her classmates:
“I think you should make a political statement, perhaps you should pose for a picture top-less”.

If a woman is riding her bike or going for a walk and takes off her shirt and bra, no problem. The police might stop her but they won’t charge her and if they did, she would beat it. When this first passed, strip clubs tried to take advantage by having their strippers outside topless but they got in trouble because they were being sexually provocative. I guess they were rubbing their breasts and trying to turn guys on. It’s a gray area but it doesn’t matter because 99.99999% of women don’t want to be topless in public anyway. Even the women who fought for this “right” don’t use it. Even on the beach you don’t see it like you do in europe.

For men, indecent exposure is whipping out your c~~~ in public. That’s what it is for women now too but with their vaginas.

In a way, she is right, as there are African societies where the women go topless. However, there is nothing inherently wrong with social constructs. And there most definitely is a biological aspect to this. It is also a social construct to pierce your ears, where makeup, jewelry, etc. Not following those social constructs will not have nearly the same impact as going topless.

And I should add that weddings, wedding rings, dates, etc are also social constructs.

It could be legal to go around naked in all countries for all that I care but I am sure only the attractive people would be using the right to do so.
