It seems hypocritical to me. But…oh well. They all seem to want tall men.

Imagine if a bunch of tall men said, “I don’t date short women.”

For me: I prefer a woman who’s the same height, but I can settle for a difference in height (taller, shorter) if her personality is sweet and she’s a good cook.

Isn’t there usually a bias with height in hiring processes? Like when both applicants are equal, the taller one are more likely to get the job.

Tie in together with women wanting the taller guy, could this be because he is more likely to be hired and thus correlate to higher stack of money?

I always thought this was just a convenient excuse to reject low-net-worth men.

It would be tolerable if they were only “hypocritical” about it, but they are downright hateful about it with no shame whatsoever. They don’t even broadcast “taller guys are awesome” or “I prefer tall men”….. it’s “short guys don’t deserve to live”.

I will react strongly to this because I am 6’2″. so you could say I am “advantaged” that way. But my father was 5’2. So it’s not even about taller guys being advantaged. It’s about shorter guys being DESPISED.

So whether you’re tall or short , neither counts as a +1.
You’re either worth allowing to live, or may as well just not exist.

This conversation actually took place.

“I only date guys over 6′.”

If you have spent any time on online dating sites you will see that every woman’s profile says “6ft and over men only”. Even if they are 5ft tall they will still only consider men over 6ft tall.
