Hello MGTOW!

About 3 years ago I broke it off with my ex-girlfriend of 2 years, mostly due to it being a dull relationship that has turned more or less platonic. We both agreed that we were better off without each other (at least that’s the impression the breakup left with me). I didn’t like who I was in that relationship. I had been dull, neutered and unhappy. At the time I decided to take some time off from women, including random hookups. I focused on trying to figure out who I am and what I want. I started taking a few personal development classes and spent a lot of time online. I was introduced to MGTOW through YouTube. In the beginning I thought of MGTOW as a bit weird. Swearing off women? I mean, they are so nice and soft…

After spending time in a mountain retreat, working through some childhood traumas (broken home, blah blah…), I suddenly realized I would be a lot happier not giving a f~~~ what people thought of me. About 1 year ago I took the red pill. Then I got the red pill rage. I realized I was being more angry than happy. So, I took a step back to see what I needed to change in my life. I worked as a medical doctor in internal- and emergency medicine in a medium sized hospital. I worked 19-hour shifts and my circadian clock was messed up. I was overworked and burned out. That’s when I decided to change career paths. I quit my job in the hospital to take up private practice as a GP. I now work 4 days a week, 0800-1600 and the occasional shift at a primary care emergency room when I need to pick up some extra cash. My energy level has improved drastically.

With my energy level improving, I expected to start dating again. The thing is, women don’t interest me anymore, apart from wanting to have sex with (some of) them. Taking into account the unhappiness previous relationships brought me and the harm they did to my personal development, it’s just not worth it. I am simply not interested in dating or relationships. Now, if a hookup suddenly materializes, I am not going to say no, but that’s it.

My buddies tease me and say that I am going through a mid-life crisis. Maybe I am, but I am definitely enjoying it. Now officially as MGTOW.

I have heard many alcoholics say the very same thing about alcohol. Okay now that I have my head on straight and I understand what’s going on I think I’ll go drink again. It hardly ever works out. Perhaps a program of abstinence might be the best solution for you it is for many of us. The further you are away from thinking about f~~~ing women, the better off your mental health will get.

Interesting (and unsurprising) that was the first significant description you heard about “mgtow”. But really, it’s only because men tend to make women a PRIMARY consideration – to their own detriment – even before themselves. So to some men, placing HIMSELF as the primary consideration may seem as radical as “swearing off women”, but it’s really only demoting them to secondary consideration at best.

This is not the position that women are used to taking – nor is it a preferred one. So they will say “MGTOW have sworn off women” – to make it “all about women” which is what they LOVE to do. They don’t admit the reality, that a woman is just demoted to a secondary consideration at best.

You thought it was “weird” because they skewed the perception of it. “Swearing off women” is an incomplete encapsulation of it. “Demoting women to a secondary consideration – if at all” is a better way to put it. But they won’t do that. Because they want to make mgtow look “weird”.

It’s not about “them” anymore.
It’s about YOU.

One of the reasons for my MGTOW name is that I am biologically addicted to the charms of women, a Heterosexual man.

For the past year or so, I have written here about all of the grim consequences that happened and lessons learned as a result of my addiction to them.

The writing of other MGTOWs have been very helpful. Tower’s understanding about the effects of a relationship with a woman on a man’s soul has been particularly significant.

Last night, all of that MGTOW progress was at risk when a twenty something brown eyed lass threw herself at me last night at some Irish Cultural event. Yes, as a part time musician I get lots of offers.

All of that MGTOW wisdom, hard lessons, and stuff about the soul abandoned me when my body and dick betrayed my best interests.

My Red Pills ceased to exist when I was close to her young bosoms and other feminine charms.

And my mind is still filled with all sorts of pleas to make f~~~ing that lovely lass work out for the best.

So, my Mind, Body, Gut, and Dick are MGTOW TRAITORS!

I walked away for now, but my body is NOT happy.

You need to learn new skills. Unfortunately you have yet to learn the hard lesson about how toxic females are.

Glad to see other docs, especially ones that work in the ED, here as well. Though I’m new as well, welcome.
