Pathetic, absolutely pathetic. And yet another example of the pussy pass in action.

We’ve got a post-Wall spinster photojournalist with all the usual “reasons” why she lives with boxed wine and a cat spending thousands of her employer’s dollars to fly to Japan and play dress up under the guise of “reporting” on this trend. Naturally, the result of her “investigation” is a few pages of desperate rationalization peppered with pictures heavily photoshopped in a failed attempt to expunge the reporter’s lines, wrinkles, and dead fish eyes with their Thousand C~~~ Stare.

If men were engaged in this insane behavior, there wouldn’t be any glowing articles talking about empowerment and comment sections full of mindless “You Go Guy!” boosterism. Instead, the men in question would be rightfully called on their childish behavior while feminists scrambled to pass laws against the practice.

We talk a lot here about the many reasons marriage is dying in the West, but one reason generally gets overlooked:

Women are more interested in weddings than they are in marriages.

Women put far more effort into the few hours their psychotic, Princess Barbie, Disney, potlatch, weddings last than they do in their commitments with other human beings. As usual, they prefer style over substance, form over facts, and feelings over fidelity.

Edit: Jeezus Bunker! How about a warning next time! Yikes!

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

You don’t get much lower or desperate than marrying yourself (I heard about this trend a few years ago and thought it was a joke, leave it to the Japanese to come-up with something so outlandish). What kills me is the fact that she’s spending thousands of dollars for a few professional photographs and she ends-up getting pink eye on the day of her photo shoot! Even other women say that it is sad and depressing and yet they STILL can’t get it through their thick skulls that they are essentially glorifying themselves in the WORST way possible! Natsumi, the woman who apparently runs this circus show, called off her engagement because she would rather be engaged to this laughing-stock called a “profession.” Apparently they never familiarized themselves with Greek mythology, or else they would’ve known the fate of that fool Narcissus…

And some guys marry a video game character or their body pillow.

But it is our ability to choose – whatever you think is true – that makes us human. There is no book or teacher to give you the answers, to show you the path. Choose your own way! Do not follow me, or anyone else."

I feel only pity about that whole sad situation.

It is one thing to knowingly deal with condescending people. It is another thing to not realize one is dealing with condescending people.

Hey, I’m all for it. Perfectly fine with me that a woman can admit that’s all a wedding is about. A self-satisfying emotional masturbation ritual, and at least she’s not subjecting a man to that crap and dragging him through the ordeal.

How many countless times do women say “Im ready to get married now!” when no man is proposing?

Well great. Have a wedding all to yourself. You don’t even have to pretend love someone else or write a corny speech! Knock yourself out.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

I trust then she is out of the dating market and won’t try to trap a man?

Others have said females are just checking boxes on a list.

Well holy s~~~ Old Bill, you just nailed it right on the head.

They’d do anything to feel like a princess.
    Truly insane.

“I look in the mirror and can’t help catching my breath. I barely recognise the radiant, elegant woman in the mirror.”

    This statement says volumes.

What is she doing to help other people?
It seems like these ladies are narcissistic.
The beauty of a person is more than a wedding dress. What about inner beauty?
What has she done lately to better the life of men in her life?
If I had a wife or daughter behave this way, I would suggest she do something to bless the life of someone else and stop looking in the mirror.

Special day? I was curious about that, so I ended up thinking “Special time of the month” when I saw that, and realized it probably wasn’t the way this was going to go… which was a wedding.

I personally don’t care one way or the other. Her family wants to chip in? Well, ok. I would also add though, if doing such will cause less women to nag men to marry, that seems like a good thing to me, from a MGTOW perspective, right?

I agree with KM, there are several positives about this.

    – She is not trapping a man in marriage.
    – Unless she somehow convinces Daddy to pay for, no man is having to pay for this.
    – Money spent is good for the economy.
    – Women who do this are outing themselves, and giving any potential husband a glimpse as to what it’s all about for her. I’m sure some dude won’t get the hint still.
    – This could mean that she’s giving up on marriage and taking herself off the market.

The only con I see is she’s just taking fake photos, not going through with the actual ceremony like many women do. That is much better. Get the ring and everything. Do it right. You’ll have an even harder time convincing a man you aren’t narcissistic.

Edit: Forgot to mention Quinceaneras…which is essentially a wedding type ceremony for teenage girls. I expect we will see some sort of new ceremony for women who have made the commitment (temporarily) to be single. It would be so easy to justify. Why should she miss out on having a special day just because no man will man up and marry her?

    Ok. Then do it.
