We’ve tropical storm force winds heading this way across 225 to 300 miles of land. It might be a low end cat 1 Hurricane at the eye on landfall. People hundreds of miles away are overreacting over these low end tropical force winds. Nor’easters which are birthed here can easily lay down that much wind.

I went to get my single gallon of ethanol free gasoline. Good thing thing marine grade is easy to find here though at a slightly higher price. The idiots massing at the gas station were acting exactly as if I would do for a Cat 3 full evacuation scenario. The Whale-mart was overrun too.

I’m testing my generator now. She’d working well so far on an electrical load that emulates my window AC emergency unit plus 15%. I’ll have AC and full PC networking services plus lights, fridge, and fans worst case scenario. It’s a little fuel miser too.

People are worried about four things. Tornadoes. Flooding. Fallen trees. And power outages. All very real possibilities in a hurricane. Even inland.

You need to respect this force of nature, or it can kill you.

They’re saying Monday Southern New England.

They’re saying tornado threats too, if a cool front clashes with it up my way there’s a good chance for some flooding.

Ever seen a 15 feet section of solid Oak of 24″ render instantly into inch toothpick sized fragments. The wind blew top the 70 feet top of tree away from the house in neighbor’s yard. It will blow your mind.

Flooding and tornadoes are a threat too. Do be safe Southeastern US MGTOWS.

The worst one I’ve experienced was maybe a minor Cat 2 on land fall. I remember the eye crossing over. We had no power for ten days. Others I knew had none for a month

The day this area gets hit hard again either by ice or wind I’ll be cutting a foot path down these long abandoned roads.
I loose power all the time from fallen trees, in the 1600s’ all this land was once a plantation as far as the eye can see, fields and stone walls, there was no forest in the 16 to 1800s’ just endless plantations built by the settlers and the natives.

Literally tens of thousands of miles of field stone walls litter the forests throughout New England. The walls are EVERYWHERE!

I always thought it would make a great hell to make someone return every stone to it’s original place, it would take ten million years, 18 hours a day, just to return half the stone.
