What’s interesting to note is that the federal NDP is currently in a leadership race. The NDP MP Niki Ashton (who supports Manning’s bid to enter Canada) is in the running. If she were to win the leadership of the federal NDP, she would be a contender for the PMO in the next federal election.

In one of his last acts as president, Barack Obama commuted Manning’s sentence, and she was released from military prison in May after serving seven years of a 35-year sentence.

So I’m clear here, this is was Bradley Manning, correct?
