Hey gents. I hope ya’ll are well. I am about a year into a career change, and I don’t frequent the site as much as I used to.
My new career gives me many opportunities to observe the Red Pill concepts in full effect. For the last 8 months I have been working at a psychiatric hospital. It is an infamously bad job, a psych orderly. Not only are you dealing with the most unwanted people in society, your coworkers are also bottom of the barrel. There is no compensation at all. For me it is just a little field experience before graduate school. I can’t imagine spending my whole life doing it for a living. It has already settled into a 100% predictable human misery cavalcade, where the long term effects of an individualistic society are on full display. “I want to be treated special, and I don’t care if other people have to go without so I can get what I want!”.
The predictable nature of the field has one constant, a patient who is always on the unit, 24/7/365. A patient so typical and common, I simply refer to the patient as SHE or HER.
SHE is always on the unit. And by HER, of course I don’t mean the same patient. Plenty of times it is the same person over and over, but that doesn’t matter. The archetype, the personality, is always the same. SHE is somewhere in her twenties, and already mired in a lifetime of bad decisions. Her raspberry blue hair has almost completely faded to a crusty gray, because it was either pay to keep it looking good, or use the money for drugs. Her tattoos that she wasted 1000’s of dollars on don’t seem so glamorous now that the only clean clothes she has to wear are hospital scrubs. They just make her seem cheap and pedestrian, becauseshe looks like every other HER that shows up at a psych ward. Those fancy facial piercings have been revealed for what they are: a desperate bid for attention through self injurious behavior. She always has a borderline personality, if not complete sociopathology.
Of course she has been, what we call in psychiatry, “hypersexual “. Don’t you know promiscuity is the new road to female empowerment?!?! How dare you infringe on my individuality?!?! There is an older man at the center of it all, who was of course a ‘soulmate ‘ for her. He beats her and pimps her out to his friends, but you know, he’s her best friend! Fortunately, they all remember their Valtrex prescriptions before being admitted.
Of course she immediately knows she needs to have her special needs filled. She demands her own bedroom, to go outside and smoke, to have her dog on the unit, it doesn’t matter. As long as She is getting something more than everyone else, she’s happy. Of course, then the other She’s notice that they need to feel special too. And the best way to feel special in a psych hospital is to go on a 1 to 1. That way you can have a special medically appointed friend to follow you around. I literally had Her once ask me, “are you my new friend? I’m special, I get someone to follow me around all the time!”. Meanwhile, people with serious medical problems are going untreated.
Of course, She can find attention whenever she wants. She just has to find Him. He is always here as well. He is Chad, just broken and beat from living the delusion that is His life. They find each other quickly, and without so much as a thought about previous mistakes, within a day they are completely codependent. They go everywhere together, and if you take your eyes of of them for a second, they will be in an alcove breeding disease with each other.
She gets out eventually, they all do. Until the next time she comes back. And it just repeats itself all over.
