I can’t believe nobody mentioned that she wasn’t even really a blip on the radar after he first album. She married the producer of her next album, a rock and roll guy who got her to sauce up her lyrics a whole lot and made her a star. Girl Power! Well, even a hot chick will get boring if she’s not putting out, so he looked elsewhere. 7 months after the ink dried on the divorce paperwork she was married to an even richer man. The Ex-husband of the ex-bestfriend who her hubby ran to, who had even more money.

The next branch is never lower on the tree, and letting go before they have a line on that branch just doesn’t happen. Mutt proves the old adage. If you find the hottest woman in the World, there’s somebody who’s tired of putting up with her s~~~.

I liked her even before she thinned out to this level and wrote her new style of lyrics. I liked Shania before she was full of herself and the knowledge that she had the power to destroy men. This newer version is nice to look at but everything she says and has done since this timeframe is a warning. Only an idiot could miss the signs.

She seemed like the perfect little Unicorn back in 1993. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMul1ZBdRmc

I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.

The first thing that grabs my attention with songs like this is the general tone. Bold bragging and proclaiming how great you are never impresses me and more often gives me a poor first impression. Most bragging is just talk, most of the finest “doers” don’t flap their lips- their actions speak for them. The exceptions are those who “brag” and “do”, but as the old school guys say “It isn’t bragging if you can do it.”

When “That don’t impress me much” (if that is the actual title) was all over the radio, I was actually reminded of some of the self important women I had dealt with. Conversations often went something like this:

“I am not impressed. There are so many other men are more <this> or have more <that> blah blah blah…”
“Then go out with them, why are you wasting your time with me ?”
They seldom had a response, being so used to men groveling to prove themselves worthy of an egotistical asshat that they have no idea what to do with a man not willing to put up with their crap. At first, I would say this not trying to be witty- when I was young I was genuinely baffled !

Shania is not impressed ? Well, here is a shocker, her lack of being impressed makes no impression on me. I would have to give a damn.

Some women are so full of self importance they have a unique approach to changing a light bulb. They hold it in the socket and expect the universe to revolve around them.

The other one is by “blondie” and contains lyrics like:

“One way, or another, I’m gonna find ya, I’m gonna getcha getcha getcha getcha”

    Yuck.
