Sexist ad intruded my dream…

There has been a sexist ad running on TV lately:

(I regret not listening to you guys, those of you who urged everyone to abstain from watching TV, but I’m watching the IPL (cricket) and my net’s too slow to live stream it.)

This ad was responsible for giving me a nightmare today afternoon after I had dozed off post lunch.

My dream was similar to that ad, except some minor changes like the woman looking back at me with ‘terror in her eyes’, me feeing ‘ashamed’ and …… most surprisingly, I said something like “Don’t be scared of me. I’m MGTOW” and then I reached out for my wallet to take my MGTOW card out and showing it to her like an FBI agent shows his ID. The card just had a very big MGTOW logo on it.

I believe two things were responsible for me having that dream.

~ Saw the ad about 100 times again and again that day; and had experienced the backlash every time.

~ I had read the story linked in this thread:

hence I saw the ‘terror’ on the girl’s face in my dreams.

~ I was custom designing a T-Shirt online, and I had googled for the MGTOW logo; spent a lot of time amidst those images, hence the MGTOW card. (A T-Shirt is basically a card of sorts).

~ Members (like Mr. Mgtower?) constantly mentioning “MGTOW card” , “I’ll just show my MGTOW card” etc. etc.

I never saw a dream like this in my life before, ever. I can’t put it in words how ‘ashamed’ I was…… in my f~~~ing dream!! Just thought I would share the experience. It literally scared the s~~~ out of me!

I woud recommend members not to spend too much time over here; you’d risk having a nightmare. I’ll do the same from now on.

I agree. But this is a different level of shame. One that each of us feel when we are subjected to things like this; its a really strong motivator. No wonder women use it as a tool to get men to do exactly what they want.

Its like somebody called you a thief when you aren’t really one. How would you feel?

Theiving woud require you to do something unnerving like breaking into someone’s house or putting your hand into someone else’s pocket; but to get shamed for simply doing something so plain as walking behind somebody…. Wow! I guess it really hit me.

Just look at all those comments in the video! You can see many guys sharing my feelings.

I still don’t quite understand the mentality; I’ve never ever been rude to anybody; I would never hurt a soul; hell, I don’t even ook like somebody who could hurt someone. But in spite of that, I get the ‘look’, of being despised, being feared as if I’m a monster. Thank god it was just a dream. I don’t know how I’m gonna deal with that if it happened for real.

If I didn’t have this place as a refuge, I’d have been confused as heck!!

TV is blue pill bulls~~~. I avoid watching it as much as possible.

If you can at all, I’d recommend downloading a lot of music and putting it on your cell phone or computer to listen to if you need background noise (like I do).

Then, on your free time, just commit to something you love doing.

For me, I commit most if not all of my free time programming/learning computer science. I also leave the forums up on a separate webpage listening or reading MGTOW content.

It happened something similar to me, years ago: I was in Nice, France, it was night and I was walking on the street of a “bad” quarter.
But it wasn’t a woman afraid by me, it was a man – the funny thing is that HE looked like a criminal, not me, and I wasn’t bothering about him. Probably he thought I was policeman without uniform, or something.

They’re misleaded.
Your unmotivated shame it’s exactly the goal of feminists.
You have just to repeat to yourself: “that’s just only feminists trying shaming me for having been born with a penis”.
It’s the truth: they’re just trying to shame us for being men.
Women are more “empathic” than men: that doesn’t mean they are necessarly more good – that does mean they are able to understand very well our feelings and reactions. That can be a good thing when those women have good intentions, but it can be a VERY bad thing when those women have bad intention – that’s a very clear case of female emotional manipulation: women are generally very good at playing this game, and feminism is the epitome of womanhood. They’re playing the victim card, as usual.
It’s their only real weapon against us: take away such power, and they’re harmless.
They aren’t my victims: I never victimized a woman in all my life. And I have been abused by a woman. She should be ashamed, not me, not you, and not even non-abusive women
My 12 yo son wouldn’t be ashamed by such video, because he already knows the truth.
The truth is more powerful than emotional manipulation.

How can they expect guys to be chivalrous after this? How can they expect us to ‘support women help groups’ when they’re actively hating and shaming us for no reason? Yes, crime against women may be an issue but education is the right option; portraying sexism isn’t.

If you create a ‘public awareness ad’ about domestic violence against men, show a woman beating a man and then throw taglines that “male domestic violence is an issue. We must do what we can. Join us now @ xxxxx” .. would that not have a backlash? Won’t they go “This ad is inappropropriate because it portrays women as abusers, which we aren’t.” “This ad is offensive. Take it down.”?

What shard of equality remains? How would the lo-and-mighty super educated people that regularly come on TV say that this is just?

Back when I was a blue-piller and an active supporter of social causes, there were always people who called bulls~~~ on ‘women support’ campaigns; I used to wonder what made people go that ballistic; now I finaly got to know having experience this myself.

That’s what I thought too. Either I’m not getting it, or this commericial makes no sense. I even watched the part with the phone twice and still didn’t see it.

Unfortunately, No man can be told what MGTOW is – he has to see it for himself.

If they don’t already understand the idea behind it, the chances of them being receptive are not good. It wouldn’t have made sense to me either, except that I felt something was wrong since I was atleast 8 or 9 yo.
