Have a read of these browsers. If you are using IE then STOP IT!

Get one of these others and make sure you are secure as possible.
    https://www.techworld.com/security/best-8-secure-browsers-3246550/

    Also

Protect your passwords. Do not share passwords. Passwords at least 13 characters long – use upper, lower cases and characters.

Get 2FA password authentication (if you have issues on security)

Have virus, spyware and internet protection like Kaspersky or Norton. Never use S~~~ Windows Defender

Get a VPN if you are using a WIFI hotspot.
Norton Symantic has a VPN add-on for 5 PC’s/mobiles for about $40 which is really good
Do not hook on to a public WIFI hotspot without protection.

Check if sites have encrypted connections (https) before sharinginformation. Different Browsers have different indicators for encrypted connections.

Fraudulent plug-ins have the ability to install malicious software(s) into your device. These might affect your device with viruses and/or online identity theft. Always do some research on Plugins before installing them. Visit well known sites that review plug-ins like CNET.

Install virus protection on your mobile phone

    Above all practice safe surfing.

    Peace.

I would add that its also better idea of create a separate user account on your computer altogether to surf MGTOW related stuff.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while – thanks for the reminder.

Someone suggested to me a couple of weeks ago to ONLY BROWSE in privacy mode. Think I’ll go a step further and sort one of these browsers / buy a VPN.

The biggest danger to us all is our own governments and they already track yoy virtually every minute of the day and have so much information on you already.

    Thanks for the head’s up.

At the moment I’m getting slightly paranoid about being tracked.

I seem to be at odds with the world and the world might decide it doesn’t like me anymore.

Was using Chrome but looks like Firefox gives you the best options for privacy.

Mosts important addon looks like HTTPS EVERYWHERE.

Doesn’t matter which browser you are using, providers can easily track you if it’s needed.

    Internet Explorer is S~~~!

Marriage and Divorce for a man is like getting a cactus shoved up your ass. It’s painful with all the spines that go in and it is painful getting all the spines out, meanwhile Wifey gets most of the money, your home, your kids, and practically everything you own.

Just installed Brave (& I love the icon) – clean design and syncs with my password manager.

Looks like they’re working on an IOS sync too. 😀

    TOR BROWSER.

Glad some of you are starting to think about security. It’s a good start.

    But let’s separate something here.

    There is

    1. Security.
    2. Tracking.
    3. Anonymity.
    4. Censorship.

Doing the first one can be done in any Modern Browser.

Doing the second one requires some extra steps like TOR and Firefox and Duck duck go.

Doing the last two? That’s where TOR , VPN that does not keep data on you, and some other means on top of that that protect you from your own home router.

Basic systems today keep your data stream private to things like your bank. But if you want to say download files from torrents, that’s when just having a secure browser is just not going to cut it.

If you are REALLY worried about the other two, then there is much more that needs to be done. I posted a thread here about this just earlier today. Read and watch the videos that are there. I go into much more detail about this stuff above.

However. If you just want to get to MGTOW.com without any problems. USE THE TOR BROWSER.

A vpn is only going to save your ass so much. Even HideMyAss vpn has had to change their business model due to US laws.

When it comes to VPN’s. you want to get one that does not log you. That is important. And make sure that you don’t use your own bank info. buy 1 year at a time, and deposit that money in a way that it does not link to you. Some offer gift certificates. But there are other ways to pay for things without tracing them to you.

Once you get there, your Windows computer is the problem at that point. I would not use a mac if I were you. That sets you up for some Nasty surprises when you find out how they know you are using an apple item.

Guys, its time most of you just get a machine dedicated to surfing the net. That way it is set and forget. When you do work, use one machine. For surfing for yourself? Use a Live linux distro that has the whole TOR suit built in. That way, even if they find your machine or confiscate it. They can’t do s~~~. It’s a live installation. The second the power goes off. it goes bye bye. End of story, and the only thing that is left is the cache that is on your router.

Some of this stuff was made so that people could really protect themselves online. And others, well. The tools became apart of the nefarious.

Be very careful what tools you use.

As far as router safety, there are some GREAT routers that do VPN very well. And are easy to reset in case you live in places that will nab your s~~~.

    https://torguard.net/store/

You don’t need a router that does this. But it’s a good idea to have a script written that once you click on it, the command goes to your router to clear it of everything to factory default.

The next step for the TRULY paranoid has to be having your ISP being set at a neighbor’s house with a wifi link or Secured powerline connection.

Doing this, all you have to worry about is your devices. And if you can push an auto reset button that deletes all wifi settings? then you have no problem even if they come into your home. Or steal your devices.

If you use android, there are some really great security distros that will stop Google all together from tracking you.

But again, All this is IF you are REALLY in a place where you don’t want to be found and don’t want people to see what you are doing. Or plan to do some Serious hacking like finding out what judge was talking to who? Where cops live that are dirty. Tracing traffic on people phones. Basically, doing some next level s~~~.

But for most of you? Just use the TOR browser. You will be fine. Its Easy, its free, but make sure to donate. They do some great things.

Oh one more thing. TOR is blocked on CCSF campus. There is a work around, but again, that is where things like VPN’s come in. And they can’t be on the list of known blocked VPN sites.

You would be AMAZED at the level of things your ISP does to track and monitor where you go.

You are being watched much more than you think. And are you being TOLD what to see? YES YOU ARE.

IMickey503 many thanks from the guys here.

Perhaps this needs to be looked at in more detail in your post. Will be looking into that next and all here should too. Thanks!

As you pointed out there are various levels of ‘secure’ and how comfortable we are. I think we can sum up the levels as

Not caring aka the kamikazi approach.
IE is fine. Use Wifi on public hotspots to send private bank details etc.

    Proper Level Security
Firefox/Tor/Brave and Internet + PC virus suites installed. VPN for Wifi or always. (these are dirt cheap these days there is no excuse for not getting one).
    Using Https always or near-to.
Not going to hacker sites or such – most good security suites like Norton and Kaspersky warn you about that.
This would give security upto serious or targetted hacking or ISPs looking at you.

    High security
As you described, surfing-only computer , router management, OS management etc. The whole ball of wax.
For OS I would not use Windows OS under this header – rather my preference is Unix OpenBSD and Sun Spark Solaris hardware.
This would give security beyond serious or targetted hacking or ISPs looking at you.

    Conclusion?

I think most guys here would be ok to stay on Proper Level Security – possibly it would be the cost/benefit we are looking for.
However I caution the guys – please use all the items listed not just one or two.

Hope the guys here can follow thorough and we could possibly continue this in the Computer Games and Tech section.

GUYS – IF YOU NEED HELP – ASK!

    Peace and thanks again!
