    Not long ago, this line of thinking was the totally discredited ravings of a soviet communist era lunatic. Now, it is mainstream science. Go figure, and good luck, because figuring it out is beyond me.

    Epigenetics is fascinating stuff. Strange stuff, like if your paternal grandfather faced lean times about the time he was going through puberty, you are more likely to have a leaner physique with fewer heart problems. No difference in the genome, just the patterns of methylation and other modification that got passed along. That’s stuff you pass not to your son, but to your grandson through him. Weird.
