    https://www.theguardian.com/education/2017/jun/22/teenage-boys-wear-skirts-to-school-protest-no-shorts-uniform-policy

I catch a glance at the TV and see some schoolboys in skirts. As you can imagine SJW alert kicks in.
But no, a small number of lads at are not happy with the inequality in their school that allows girls the option of wearing skirts or trousers while the boys are not permitted to wear shorts. My little brother (all by himself) did exactly the same thing in the early 90s. It got the point across but went no further.
In this case, a few soon become many and with young folk on the social media who knows how far it can go.
I also bet not a single one of them has found their way here yet.
Good to know some of the youth still have a little fight in em.

Even the subject is not too relivent. Boys are getting to see that if they want to they too can protest on their own behalf.

I knew someone was gonna bring this up. Think about where wearing skirts came from. Apparently it started with men wearing skirts in Scotland, correct me if I am wrong.

You see brothers, this is a good example of women invading male spaces. As with lipstick, yes, that too was worn by men FIRST.

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

The ancient Romans wore tunics, similar to a kilt. Ancient egyptians also donned kilts, as did Anglo-Saxons.

Kilts are comfortable in hot climates.

Wait a minute. Why didn’t they just wear the shorts as a form of protest instead?

Aunt Esther: Fred, I'll have you know this body was blessed by Mother Nature!! Fred: Well, too bad your face was cursed by Father Time!

Wait a minute. Why didn’t they just wear the shorts as a form of protest instead?

Because they are still following school policy. The only way the school could make the stop is to publicly acknowledge that the rules are not fair.

I remember reading about this, an incredibly stupid head mistress thought that having young boys wearing clothing inappropriate for hot temperatures was a sensible idea. Didn’t occur to this limited woman that perhaps in light of unusually hot weather that they should wearing shorts. No, better to let them bake in hot, non air conditioned school classrooms. Pure stupidity. And when they complained? Dismissed entirely, safe for what was intended as a sarcastic comment about wearing skirts. Keep in mind, these women are educating our youth. The school governers should be having words with her.

This is true, but no matter how good, bad or indifferent the weather is, English folk will complain about is.
I have a couple of customers I’ve dealt with for years who I have never seen in anything but shorts (even in the depths of winter). Lunatics in my opinion but strokes for folks and all that.

Also I can’t speak for these boys but when my brother made the same protest back in the day it was the principal of the thing. It’s a shame he eventually turned into a lost cause mangina prick.
