As you know, once a man gets his life back, he has time to enjoy the things that matter to him and bring him peace. Once of these is playing an instrument, regardless of how good or amateurish his efforts may be. For me it’s always been the saxophone. I was lucky when I started about 20 years ago to find a great full time musician and friend who got me on the right track and steered me towards the right gear. I haven’t done much performing except for a few community big bands but I love the sound of it, the science and the joy of hunting and finding great musical equipment. Lately I have also been learning the Ukulele and guitar which is a whole different ball game but heaps of fun.
As far as my preference for saxes, I really love them all from Soprano to Bari and have at least one of each. The vintage American horns from Conn, Buescher and Martin are simply amazing, powerful things with great tone and clarity. I don’t believe in the hype of the Selmer Mk 6 being the greatest thing since sliced bread, they all sound a bit nasally to me. My 1920’s Conn “Chu Berry “ tenor is like an old big block ‘Cuda, American musical muscle at it’s finest.
So who else loves making noises in a vaguely musical fashion?" I feel threatened "

Anonymous42The mfg of brass is an art as time will tell if it cracks as with age and use it becomes brittle, prone to stress and fatigue cracks, I love the sound of brass as much as the sound of a silver coin vs. clad.
60s’ Gibson guitars are the new Stradivarius when it comes to strings!
We bought a cheap China Folk Guitar in Vermont just to have something to play, we got drunk and played it on fire making a video as we sang the made up tune Chiatara (China Guitar) The f~~~ing thing was awful! We lost all the hair on our arms playing Fire Chiatara!
Guitar, just learning and I’m awefull.
😂😂😂
The fire guitar is hilarious 😂
To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

Are you using books?
Focus on your strumming and ability to change chords in sequence, it should get you up and running the quickest, then put time into walking up and down the scales and playing hopscotch with up and down stroke mixing pick to string contact creating two directions to strike them, up and down, hit or miss, skip or not.
Keep reading and keep playing, it’s all paint by numbers as the books show you where the notes are by insinuating your fingers are little black dots on the fret board, like reading an IBM punch card, all you have to do is put your fingers on the dots and get the timing right, just like playing hop scotch level 9,000 when you learn the whole tune.
I wish you luck! Most rock music consists of 3 chords.
It’s plain as day when you play some stuff from the 50s’.Keep playing, once the left and right hand become coordinated and know how to juggle it becomes allot of fun then the creativity starts and you’re off and running having allot of fun, especially when you get together with others and a flow of free playing creativity starts and the harmonies become imprinted on the beat and timing, fkn awesome!
You have chosen wisely, instead of imitation stimulation in front of a glowing tube invented in 1927 and popular by the 1950s’. Since it’s popularity society has gone down the drain, now everyone (except me) has a hand held television walking around like DRONES!

Mine is a Hohner Blues Band harmonica. I spend one hour every day blowing that, and even though I play awfully, I enjoy it very much.
My goal is to be able to play with a band, and become a blues man in the future. We are at the dawn of a New Era. We are the Vanguard.-Greg Honda.
Mine is a Martin HD-18 guitar. I also have an Evergreen Mountain twelve string with really good sound. I also have a collection in my closet…Ibanez electric, Squire bass, Martin mini guitar, Martin backpacker…I think that’s all of them.

I play the Didgeridoo. Just a little piece of home I bought with me to the USA, when I moved over.
However the instrument I would love to get my hands on, is the Handpan. You can do some AWESOME tunes on it, as demonstrated here:
I can play the Didgeridoo part, would love to be able to do the hangdrum as well.
Blue-Pill Virgin: Women hate me! That's what it is.
MGTOW Man: Hate them back; it works for me.So who else loves making noises in a vaguely musical fashion?
That would be me too. See my avatar for my axe.

Very nice!
I took classical guitar at Peabody, acoustic guitar from an independent instructor, taught myself diatonic harmonic and electronic keyboard.
I more recently got an ocarina (based off of the one in “Legend of Zelda”). Going to get an electric guitar later this summer.
All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.
I’ve spent a little time practicing on a borrowed banjo, using online lessons. Had piano and cello lessons in middle school, but changed schools partway through my “career” and the new one didn’t have the same sort of one-on-one instruction, so I learned some fundamentals but I’m not proficient. My old music teacher was one of the most patient and calm men I’ve known, and he tried to instill in his students a sense of responsibility and accountability. Very cool guy, and I hope he’s doing well now.

Anonymous43I made a daxophone for a school project.
I can’t play any real music with it, but the sounds I can make are freaky wicked cool.
edit wtf is a daxophone?
guitar pickup and amplifier
2 pieces of a handrail
a violin bow and rosin
a bunch of strangely cut up yardsticks
and a camera tripodSchecter C-1
Johnsonn Millenium 250 head
Marshall 1960a cabinetI can get any tone out of the Johnson head. It was light years beyond the Line6 heads when they first came out and it still holds up well today.
I’m a professional musician. Lead vocals, lead Guitar are my main. I play others however, produce, engineer as well.
Be professional be polite but always have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
