A groom in Saudi Arabia filed for divorce minutes after his wedding when his bride refused to put down her cell phone and pay attention to him, local media reported Tuesday.

The couple retired to a hotel room following the ceremony, where a relative said the unnamed woman rebuffed the man’s intimate advances. The bride said she wanted to respond to her friends’ texts and other messages congratulating them on their wedding, according to Gulf News.

“The groom asked her to delay the messages, but she refused and became angry,” the relative added. “When he asked her if her friends were more important than he was, the bride answered that they were.”

The argument quickly escalated before the groom demanded a divorce. A reconciliation committee agreed to take the case to see whether the husband and wife could resolve their differences. But the groom insisted he wanted the marriage to end.

The case reflects a growing divorce rate among newlyweds in Saudi Arabia, a legal expert told local media.

“Misunderstandings, differences in views and the easy approach to marriage without a deep appreciation of the responsibilities are among the major causes for divorce among young people,” Ahmad Al Maabi said. “Marriages are bound to fail when there are no robust foundations or trust.”

Like a pendulum, I go from ranting about those goat f~~~ers to utterly admiring the way they handle their women. He is one smart Arab.

I’ll never date again, so it’ll never happen to me. I don’t even like it when my male friends pull that smartphone s~~~ around me. I have an app on mine where I run whitelist only. I keep my phone in that mode when I’m with friends or socializing. There are very few people on that whitelist too.

F~~~ that s~~~. A wedding is supposed to be about a man and woman. Not just the woman. As is often said, and has been for decades now, a woman treats a wedding as if it is solely about her. As if she is the only reason for why it is happening.

The modern marriage is supposed to be about a man and a woman that love each other so deeply that they will do go to hell and back for one another. At least that was the way I was taught. Now I realize that what men are taught about marriage is far different than what women are taught. They are taught that someday a man will come along, sweep them off their feet, and pay for everything. They are taught that if a man doesn’t do these things that they need to divorce his ass and take him for all they can afterward. The s~~~ that I’ve seen and heard women say about marriage is crazy. It’s the most lopsided scam I’ve ever seen in regard to relationships. Women no longer respect and honor their men. Yet, the man is expected to keep them afloat in bliss.

Modern marriage means nothing.

I remember talking about marriage with a couple past girlfriends. It was never anything serious and I have never been engaged but I quickly learned that they all had this s~~~ planned out- well in advance. What they wanted the ceremony to look like, where, who would be there, etc. I remember thinking each time, wow, where do I fit in this (hypothetical) wedding?

So it was already expected that I would be playing second fiddle to a stuck up bitch in an extremely expensive ceremony that I would undoubtedly have to pay for as none of them made squat or even had careers. Let’s not forget the $25,000 ring that I’m expected to buy and the engagement ring that I would have already purchased at that point. This is all on top of me having to pay the lion’s share of everything in day to day life.

Then a lifetime of servitude under an uneducated bitch who expects to not have to work as hard and who has the ability to bail out at any time and collect years of severance (alimony) pay.

Lmao, sorry for the rant. Little bit of red pill rage there.
