Robots that can weld, lift and bolt are being developed to help bridge labor shortages at Japanese construction sites, though their use will be limited to night shifts when no human workers will be nearby due to safety and regulatory concerns.

——-Taking the robots out of the factory and starting to apply the tech to construction. Next generation better figure out something or the machines are going to be doing most of the work. If you do not get money from inheritance you might just end up on the street.

I’m a concrete mason and trust me there are thing we do that a robot will never be capable of. A lot of our work is done in a trench with deep thick mud and clay. We clime steep banks while carrying heavy forms. S~~~ doesn’t go together like in the text books, there is a new problem every second, that only human brains and hands can deal with. Sure there is a lot of new tech to make our job a little easier, but I believe my job is safe and will be for as long as concrete is needed.

I’ll bet those Boston Dynamics robots will be programmed to hunt fugitives. They’ll be guided by drones that fly over the wilderness looking for people who are running from the police.

Imagine the horror of encountering one of these things in the woods.

It just keeps chasing you and never rests. But…you could set up some Rambo snares, ha ha.

I don’t know how more people aren’t terrified about this s~~~ coming, it’s gonna cut off a huge chunk of jobs, the competition is going to soon become relentless in the next decade.
